6.7C here and rising although I understand we're promised wind and rain shortly, at least it will be warmer.
Pat ((hugs)) and get well soon. A friend has a similar recurring problem which has resulted in emergency hospital admissions 11 times in the last 12 months. She's being put on the Fodmap diet which excludes onions amongst other things - apparently it was developed in Australia.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Wonky - new floors. Just mind you don't slip when you're throwing curry sauce around.
It sounds as though it's blowing a gale out there this morning - not looking forward to the dog walk but at least, as chicky said, we're not waiting for the US blizzard. Let us know when the sun comes out Verdun.
By the way, Wonky's floor looks great ... I have seen photos
She also tells me that the neighbours have been told about 'noise from above' and are trying to be quieter - apparently it's the grandchildren who make the noise and they and their parents will be moving out shortly - fingers crossed!

Morning/afties all. Sorry you're having such a tough time Pat. We're all thinking of you here and hoping things turn round soon.
Hideous day here - what I can see of it anyway. Weather warnings of flooding and all sorts. Glad I don't have a dog to walk...
Enjoy the new floor Wonks - can you enjoy a floor? Hmm ...I did when I had a new floor all through the downstairs round the corner. Very sleek. Used to admire it...
Have a good day everyone - stay dry, warm and safe
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Verdun, if you say the sun is shining and it's warm I will have to scream

I'm on my way to visit my mum this morning, and it's too dark to see the view. Also pouring with rain... Hope Mum's been released from "solitary", though I've not heard anything; the staff had been told to keep her in her room until they had the results of tests on her itchy feet (to exclude scabies, which is apparently on the increase). Doctor took skin samples over a fortnight ago so they're being appallingly slow. The staff are quite sure it's not scabies, hence my visit...
Best wishes to Pat - hope you soon get an answer and start to feel better.
Good to have positive signs re Wonky's noisy neighbours!
Have a good day!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Hope you feel better soon Pat, glad the doc is on the case x
Fairy, you certainly can enjoy floors! not like that no but I'm of the generation that got into breakdancing, and if you ask Dove, there was one Christmas in the late eighties when every kid asked their parents for an offcut of vinyl flooring to breakdance on! Nice cheep Christmas for all parents!
Hope the dog keeps you safe and tethered Lesley! Stay warm!
Morning Hosta, enjoy your last week of holiday
Dove, hubby still not well, convinced him to stay off work otherwise he will just be ill next week too

Mrs Thatcher used to boast about managing on only 4.5 hours a night, and look what happened to her!!!
