    Good day

No sunshine here, - squally showers and still the wind- but it is not as dark as it has been over the last few days.

Went to WW today, have reached my goal (well I did just before christmas ), Means I have lost 50lb, or did I tell you. Any way I somehow managed to only put a pound on, find that quite surprising.

Love that kitty Dove, I always try to rescue animals if possible. Dog was one and so was one of the cats.

Attempting to complete seed order today but wouldn't mind seeing PamLL's programme as I quite like the idea of making a formal annual planting scheme in my circular bed and am not sure how to get the balance right.

I feel it's one of those things that could go disastrously wrong!

Well done Matty - that's a real achievement!   I once lost a lot of weight so I know what it takes - of course the next challenge is keeping it off image  some of mine snuck back when I wasn't looking, but hopefully my walking and doing the 5:2 diet will sort that out image

  • Good afternoon all,

Lovely pussycat and a lucky one too.

Amazing achievement Matty. You should feel proud of yourself.

It's been a lovely day here and I had a couple of hours or so in the garden today. I even worked up a sweat or I should say a lady-like glow. My dad used to say if you see a farmer in shirt sleeves in January it's a sign that there is bad weather to come. I didn't see any farmers but they would have been happy to be in shirt sleeves today.

I moved a willow from the veg garden down to the bottom of the field. It was a cutting last year and had grown over six feet. I also pulled up some more brambles. They've spred from a hedge and are rooting into the lawn. They are faily easy to pull up now with the wet ground but I'll have to keep on top of it.

There's lots of snowdrops open now. There was only one on NYD. Two daffodils are in flower. They were in a mixed bag so must be a very early variety. Some of the others are only just showing.

I relly enjoyed being out today . The arteries have been declogged and vit D topped up a little.
