Well done Wonky - looks like you're making much better use of him than I ever did! image

By the way, there've been requests on here for you to explain about Cat Club! image

It's still raining and has turned jolly chilly here - about 90 mins ago it was 15.4C, now it's dropped to 8.2C and feels as if it's falling further - much more of this and I'll have to put the heating on - my hands are cold!!! image

Cat club is when Harrie puss comes outside with me and the neighbourhood cats come to play image

Flatface Harries best buddy has just appeared in the shed having been savaged by something! He is currently on my kitchen table being salt water bathed poor little fella! image

I've just had anxious phone call from Wonky!  She's told you about their cat Harrie(t) who is a pretty tabby girl.  She's a house cat and only allowed outside when Wonky goes out with her.

There is also a stray black and white neutered tomcat known as Flatface who has taken up residence in Wonky's garden shed and gets fed and made a fuss of from time to time.  Sometimes when Wonky and Harrie go out to enjoy the garden Flatface joins them - that is Cat Club image

Anyway, just now Wonky said that she's found Flatface looking poorly and with a nasty wound above his eye, and what looks like toothmarks - possibly been in a tussle with a fox?

She's bathed it with salt water and is putting him in a safe corner in the (big brick) garden shed on a soft bed with food and water.

She has to go to work now and won't be back until late this evening.  I've said I'm sure he'll be ok, cat's are very resilient, but is there anything else she should do for him when she gets back from work?

There is a Petsathome nearby but obviously Wonky doesn't have a lot of spare funds ... any tips anyone?

Not sure if you can see the injury?

Thanks for the explanationimage.  Poor Flatface, though I would put money on another cat rather than a fox.  They are so territorial whether they're neutered or not.  Wonky's done a great job looking after him but needs to keep an eye out for infection.  I would be tempted to smear a little Germolene or Savlon on.  Please don't let Steve the Gardening Vet see thisimage.

Robin, as a name, seems quite appropriate Doveimageimage.

I'm having a big cooking for the freezer session which is why I've been here A LOT todayimage.

Thanks LesleyK image Flatface is now resting under the kitchen table with Hattie looking sympathetic image I have made him a bed in the shed and put some food out and I will pop him in there before I leave for work and check on him tomorrow after morning shift at 10am will apply savalon image thanks for the advice!

Not dye about the other cat theory, Flatface is the other cat! Theone all the neighbourhood cats run from, he has footsteps like thunder! image

    hello

Ooh know cat wars and poorly cats = thing is wounds in cats can become infected very quickly - how is the actual eye/

keep a very close eye on him

Not been visiting you all, health problems AGAIN and feeling a bit low,

We have successfully moved daughter and fiance into their first owned house - oh the excitement a washing line and a doorbell can cause image

In the loft they found the remains of a model railway with track but not rolling stock. OH was very excited!!

Seems I am in charge of the garden which seems a suntrap with a shed

Ivy up wall of house - looks like 2 plants with 3-4 trunks each about 6-8ins in diameter. They have to remove it but no money for tree surgeon - any ideas??

There is also one on brick boundary wall in garden - same thing needs to be removed

Thank you Matty and Runny image have salt water bathed it two times, the eye lid is swollen and red from whiskers to ear. You can see claw marks, he's a brave trooper tho, he has had two portions of food and is our in the shed but won't stay there, gonna have to investigate the shed for other occupants! But it hasn't dulled his love of bird watching it his appetite so I'm trying not to worry to much.image
