Bushman, there's a few left - but you'd better grab one before the plumber gets here!

Hope you do get some of your much needed rain Pat.  We have had a few nice days but the ground is still very damp - I suppose I mean wetimage.

Hello again everyone who has joined in. I hope your plumber does the right thing Dove and turns up. What is it about plumbers?  First my hot water system fiasco, which admittedly did eventually turn out ok, then Flumpy had a problem , now a third one with plumbing issues.

Id be happy to share my lamb with Panda, but might be a bit stale by the time she got it. I did sneak a little taste (just to make sure it was ok, you understand), and had to restrain myself to wait for Hubby to get home.  The phantom rain still hiding somewhere.image

The problem with the drain is long-standing but has been getting worse - when we moved here we thought it was just a slow-running drain, but what appears to have happened is that the last owner had some plastering done and some thistle plaster was tipped down the washbasin in the downstairs cloakroom.  What was just a slow-running drain has slowly blocked - apparently this is what happens with thistle plaster in drains!   image

Last time the plumber was here he narrowed the blockage down to a double bend in the pipe where it comes out of the cloakroom wall and down under the studio floor (tiled!)  Hopefully by making just a small hole in the wall and floor that piece of pipe can be replaced and all will be well ...........

  • Morning all,

Just waiting for guests to come down for breakfast, they have ordered an English one today and typically they have been down before 9am each morning  - except today, don't normally worry about croissants but if they don't hurry up my tomatoes are going to go over. image

Hope all achy people are ok and Panda's head too, and best wishes for the plumber Dove. I am still on a mission to find a hedge man although I did actually get to meet the decorator yesterday, he might be able to squeeze me in by October. image Much better than the chiropodist, the 1st one I called can't possibly see me until the 28th of October! imageimage
