    Evening all

Work tomorrow afternoon to prep myself for the weekend shifts so this week's decorating stint is over, hurray!

Spent the last four hrs looking after Flynn. Poor little lamb is absolutely terrified of the fireworks going off in our lane. He is shaking constantly, panting and hiding under the bed. There's nothing I can do to pacify him image, he comes for cuddles but then starts climbing the walls and trying to find somewhere safe.

I wish I had got something from the vets to calm him

W/song - I feel so much you & poor little Flynn. May I suggest that you try to make a visit to the vets tomorrow to see what they recommend for you to try?

No fireworks here tonight but 2 major displays very close by tomorrow & Saturday so the Feliway diffusers will be on & my cat snuggled by the fire.

I suspect most parties will be on Fri & Sat.

Hope you can calm him down but possibly best if you try to keep as calm as possible yourself. Pets pick up on owner anxiety very quickly which only adds to their own fears.

    Good luck.

  • Hello all. Been too busy and not interesting enough to say anything here recently! image

Wintersong, there are several things your vet can offer but you would likely need an appointment for the good stuff. We sell a LOT of diazepam at this time of year. Good for dogs, can be dangerous for cats so we don't use it on them.

Punkdoc, After doc told me what it was called , I checked 'tinternet and both spellings were there but hematoma was much more commonly used.

    I stand corrected . I love a pedant.

Not sure about taking a photo of it. It is behind me after all.

I had a big white German Shepherd who was petrified of fireworks or thunder and he would try to get in the most stupid places far too small for him, like the back of the video cabinet. I would have to take him to bed with me then he would hide under the dressing table.

Good to see you back Steve x

Hello everyone. I've been a bit slow to get back to things, I feel a bit off today so I probably overdid it last week. Our visitors are now home, and they got the unpleasant surprise of a flooded garage and all their tan bark being washed down from their garden beds. Melbourne had a large storm yesterday, apparently.

I hope everyone is OK. I'll try to catch up properly another time. image

Wet and muggy here - it would be nice to have some clear skies and a breeze ...

Hope everyone has a good day ahead of them  TGIF image

Morning all - glad you're ok Pat. Visitors are b***y tiring!

I see we have an interesting new spammer Dove image

Overcast here and rain to come later and all weekend is to be fairly hellish so possibly no walking for me image

Garden looks bright and cheery though on these misty murky days.

We need a few pix of the new extension Steve image
