Morning/afties all. I'd rather keep our weather too chicky! We can't cope with regular temps of over 23 degrees up here. Just as well we don't get them
Horrible day here yesterday though - mist right down and only just getting up around zero. Looking better today. Most of the snow has disappeared. The back garden was covered with blackbird footprints - they don't half get about when I'm at work!
You couldn't pay me enough to go back to Egypt I'm afraid, except to visit the Valley of the Kings perhaps. Horrible place. Glad it's improving for you though Hosta.
Didn't see the programme about MS, but anything that can give hope has to be good. Where would we be without research?
Just saw that Glenn Frey has died. Dropping like flies now...
Off for a quick look round before I go - keep warm and well everyone
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
but if it doesn't work I'll explain ... the day after New Years Day a woman was walking her dog near the cliff tops on the Norfolk coast. The dog went over the edge for something (it's a sloping, not a steep cliff) but for some reason the dog wouldn't/couldn't get back up so the woman decided to slide down to the dog - however there had been a sort of landslide of mud earlier and she tried to walk across it and sank into It like a quicksand. If she had not laid out flat she would have disappeared in the mud, but she couldn't get up. It was cold and wet and she was becoming hypothermic before a walker heard her shouts - even then she was so covered with mud that he couldn't see her - just her dog that was standing on her. She was rescued by helicopter and coastguard. She's so lucky that walker found her.

Fairygirl, I think they've ruined the valley of the kings now too.
We were there exactly 20 years ago this month and it was a nice place. Now they have one of those train affairs they have on blackpool beach to ferry folk about.
Morning Fg Chicky and Hosta and any others I've missed - I didn't see the MS programme either, but hope that help materialises. My friend's daughter was diagnosed with it while at uni .
We watched a brilliant programme on Egyptian history last night - but watching on tv is fine for me - can't do the heat - it must be my Viking ancestry

Not really surprised Hosta. I didn't like the hotel where we stayed, but it was a means to an end. I feel very sorry for the Egyptians though - they rely heavily on tourism but they need that big money coming in regularly and it attracts a lot of 'unsavoury' people (present company excepted of course! ) I think they've been so badly affected, their industry may never recover.

Ok, bearable ... but is that guaranteed? Might it go up to 23, or 24 or even more?
