Brilliant Dove. You'll have to give him a name now.
....
We've called him Robin ............................................................
I've just been up to the farm shop and just popped in to the GC and got stuck there in a torrential downpour - those sticky labels are a real problem - I ended up with a lupin 'Towering Inferno', a red campion and an oxeye daisy for the edge of the Wilderness and some parsley plants as I use such a lot and mine aren't up yet. I'm blaming Wonky for the lupin - I haven't grown them for years but she's got some and I was feeling left out
Now all the plants are outside on the terrace 'being watered' - hopefully the pond and the waterbuts are filling up too.
I've also just ordered some pond snails for my pond

Well, just had a spontaneous parental visit from 'father in the hood', conned him into taking a load of rubble sacks to the tip! Got base board and side wall of compost bin in place, started cutting the paddling pool as liner and an almighty cloud burst over the garden! Harrie puss ducked under the lavender and rain has stored play. Lawn sowing will have to be tomorrownow
certainly feeling the labours LesleyK! But yes, lovely to see it taking shape!
Dove, I think I may be turning into you! But I guess that's no bad thing!
Good call on the song thrush Pdoc!
Wow! Just watching adult robin feed baby from my bird table! From the kitchen window unfortunately, not as tame as yours Dove, think it'd cuz I'm in league with the pusscats! They are only allowed out supervised but the birds are cautious andrightly so!

Good grief Yvie
. That poor woman
. Lucky that your daughter didn't have damage to the house as well. How on earth did they get released on bail
.
On a lighter note I hope you find your Mum in good spirits and that you enjoy Poldark
.
The robin just took a mealworm from my hand!!!

Pdoc that was a good call from you and the tree surgeon. It will also give you more time to think about crown lifting
.
Lovely to be able to enjoy seeing the results of your labours Wonky, rather than just feeling them
Panda and Winter - ladies who lunch
. Enjoy!
thank you Lesley
Typically, I'm off out in 15 mins and it's chucking it down.
I am reminding myself that it's good for the garden
