Not you too SGL. You haven't got a guilty conscience have you.
I had to send my last message without the title of the novel I'm reading because I couldn't remember which one it was until I changed screens from this thread to my kindle. The title of the book is: A Sunless Sea.
Hi Jo47. How's things? Are you usually up this early? I'm winding down at the moment. Bit tired. But still ok. hubby had to get up early today to go out with his friend. So of course I woke early too. Just sitting reading and feeling a bit guilty for not keeping going with chores.
Commiserations to all with creaky backs, legs and other bits. Pdoc, enjoy the cricket - just as well they don't need you to bowl
Overcast and a bit dismal here but really mild 18.4C and rising. Plumber due at 8.30 to service boiler then dig a hole in studio floor to hopefully unblock washbasin drain Fingers crossed please folks!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hello everyone. Our lovely sunny day changed to a miserable cloudy one a little while ago. The weather bureau has predicted a "large rain event" coming over from the west, so I've just brought in a few armfuls of firewood to see us through the night. While I don't quite believe them, it is looking a bit blue/grey across the valley, so it might be starting. Here's hoping
Morning Lesley. He ( tufty) just appeared at the right moment and sat quite happily for a while
I'm needing copious amounts of tea just now. Even though I drink plenty when walking, there's nothing like that first cuppa when I get back and I do feel quite dehydrated for a while after.
Don't think I'll be doing much gardening today - I may be joining doc with a bit of 'resting' and not much else
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Hiya Pat. Trying to ease back by walking around, no gardening for me, probably a day watching the cricket.
When you don't even know who's in the team
S.Yorkshire/Derbyshire border
Good plan
No, just can't sleep, going back to bed to see if I can get a couple of hours before its time to get up!
Hope you get some sleep too Pdoc. Sorry to hear your back hurts.

Morning all
Damp and cloudy here. Had a reasonable sleep but will hopefully get a better one tonight.
Crossing fingers Dove. Nothing's ever straightforward is it?
Take it easy today doc, although if the cricket's going badly that may not be possible
Think Panda may have a sore head today...she could do with some of your dinner Pat!
