Gemma - somebody once told me that you rarely regret the luxuries you indulge in through life. She was right - mum's usually are... image

Happy Easter everybody - enjoy whatever you're up to. Damp & murky here so H/W & S/M for me - clear the decks for the weekend.

Enjoy your new bench Gemmaimage Only trouble i find with cushions is finding somewhere to store them when they are not being sat onimage

Just been watching the birds on the feeders.  I got a new bird bath for my birthday last year - a sort of metal sculpturey thing like a bowl on a stick (bad description....its actually really nice).  I was beginning to wonder if the birds would ever use it, as i had never seen much activity, but had started to notice bits of seed at the bottom of the bowl.  Well today i could see why - a couple of coaltits sat on the side drinking awayimageimageimage. Grey and mizzly here - perfect day for collecting more horse muckimage.  Have just texted horsey friends to see if they are around today to let us in the fields.  Looking forward to the long weekendimageimageimage

    Happy Easter everyone,

Gemma you can never have too many cushions image  Grey and dull here this morning.

I'd hate to run a B&B so much work and if any one complained I just know I'd tell them where to go.  I'm definitely not cut out for the service industry.  Like staying in them thoughimage

Popping round to see mum today and also have a visit to the garden centre planned.  Just need to nip in a get a bag of compost, so it will be a quick visit  and I'm sure I wont be tempted to buy anything else...image

    Hello

Yesterday took cat (adopted as was Mum's) to vet, she is long haired and I just haven't been able to keep on top of her knots. Anyway found out she is 14 years old (vet records) and she purred all the time they were 'strimming' herm, no claws or growls. Great

Now waiting for Hot Cross Bun dough to prove. Not making so many this year, used to make some for Mum and her buddies and some for neighbours - this year just for us and any visitors

    No plans as wet!!!!!

Not GC as OH won't visit them on a holiday, prefers mid-week

Easter Day flower count - yes I'm up for it - varieties or just number out?

Will say Happy Easter on Easter Day, that is not today!!

    Happy Easter!  image

Just recovering from a 24-hr tummy bug image and am vertical for the first time...  but won't be venturing outside today I think.  And what a good thing my sister went to see Mum yesterday, not me, so I won't have passed on my germs.  image

Hope the forecasters are right about the weekend weather.  We're due to spend the next 4 days with son and SIL at their house near York, and I've promised to help in the garden.  They're keen but not very confident.  Hope I've got some energy back by then  image

Right.  Think I feel like getting dressed... or I won't want to go to bed tonight!  image
