Runnybeak - If I was you I would booby trap that short cut with strategically placed small plant pots and sticks. If your postie twists an ankle you can ask what the heck she thought she was doing forcing her way through and damaging your plants. Revenge is sweet.

Sorry - feeling a bit tetchy because some rather vitriolic comments on (yet another image) 'I Hate Cats' thread seem to have gotten under my skin. Some people just sound so rude and intolerant. Must remember it's only the internet - I don't need to meet these people or have them in my life...

Panda - I hope something turns up soon for you. It's frustrating & disheartening when you are working so hard to find a job - but I'm sure somebody will appreciate your special qualities soon.

Dove - ooh I just fancy apple pie & ice cream - is there a spare slice (just the one needed) going begging please.

Help yourself Topbird - you can have a large slice as you've had a traumatic experience image

Home from Clastock and very very sober. I must be getting old.

Have a good weekend one and all.

    Evening all!  image

I'm sitting here listening to music and feeling very benign, after a happy afternoon spent in the sun in the garden, cutting grass & edges, weeding paths and patio, tidying up plants and generally pottering.  image

Now, what sort of cake should I bake tomorrow?  I need a celebration cake to feed around 10 people, to take to our choir practice on Sunday, because it's our 40th wedding anniversary (ie mine and OH's).  Not sure whether to do a chocolate cake with Guinness (lovely and dark), some sort of Simnel-type fruit cake (OH's favourite), or use garden raspberries & do a creamy spongey fruity number.  image  Any ideas?

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
