Good morning and a Happy Easter to all forkers

DD when we moved in here I found a B &  B sign in the garage. I hid it fast! I could never have your patience  it would be like Fawlty Towers here.

we shall be moving a full lorry load of compost delivered yesterday, the forecast is good and son and dil arriving tomorrow  as she is mum to be she is excused duties.

Dove I was so thrilled the day my daughter asked about gardening, she will miss her H K garden. Don't expect she will have one in Moscow

    AWB  glad the chooks  won!

simnel cake just awaits marzipan then we all set!

    Morning all and happy Easter.

Yesterdays sunshine has been replaced with fog and rain.

Hope to get some more seed sowing and potting on done.

Enjoy whatever you are up to.

Good morning all, I'm late on parade today, must have been the excitement of being in the garden all day yesterday that made me sleep soundly.

I'm out in the rain later to re-plant my shallots that the birds have kindly pulled up.

    Morning all...

Has been raining through the night, good drenching but I'm undeterred, will be out in it in a bit

Flynn still hopes to follow me in the garden which is awful and I know its for his own good to solve our issue but with the vet's regime as well, it feels too much like punishmentimage

Back to work for the weekend, apparently the queue for donuts is already formingimage

    Morning all.

Supermarket day today, nearly out of dog food and I have about 10 people coming to lunch on Sunday after church.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

We'd always had a sort of hazy plan that should Ma be left on her own we'd combine properties and buy a country B&B with a granny annexe  and I'd look after her and run a B&B - I was looking forward to it and had done lots of research etc., but both parents  lived so long  and became too frail for me to look after both of them so they sold their house and moved into a care home.

Happy Easter everyone. All grey and drizzly here today, got the shopping in yesterday, day of baking today. image

Treated myself yesterday to a new bench for the garden, I've put it by the pond so I have somewhere to sit and relax when I do the patio this year.

The bench had the option of cushions. I really liked the cushions but my son insisted I didn't need them. I bought them anyway.

So my son helps put the bench together and lay four small paving stones for each of the feet, we get it level and sit on it without the cushions. Then I say, 'I'll get the cushions and give them a try'. He sits on them and says 'wow it's really comfy with the cushions'... there is me thinking yep it's different when you have done a couple of hours work, which is what I was thinking of in the GC about the cushions in the first place. image
