I kept dozing through GW  also, I will watch it again later on i player.

Overcast here and breezy. But still warm enough for gardening.

    Morningimage A fine weekend forecastimage

Popping to town for a haircut, then planning a day of tidying (garden, not houseimage).  Have a new hand rake to put to the test.  Just been out for a wander, and my daffs are showing their first hint of yellow - everywhere else they seem to have been going for weeks, but we are always late here.  Even my February Gold's don't seem to have read their labels properlyimage

Hope George is getting better so that you can catch up on sleep bekkie.  You have managed to get loads done thoughimage.

Fidget I just noticed 'electrickery'image.  Have a good time tomorrowimage.

Have been out with the dog this morning but it was a very short walk as after we had been wind and rain lashed to the bottom of the lane I said 'do you want to go home' and she turned tail and galloped back.  I love that dogimage

    Morning all.

    Sun shining, hurrah!

Will try and get a few bits done in the garden today, but it will be just a tidy up. Still like a bog out there. Grass won't be able to be cut for a few weeks yet.

Only a few daffs showing here too Chicky, we seem to get them late March.

Will have to watch GW on catch up, forgot to set skybox image

    Have a lovely day peeps.

    Morning all.

Looks like it's going to be nice. Still a bit breezy, but the sun does have more than a hint of warmth to it.

Have a good weekend one and all. x

Looks like a good un ere.  Sun is breaking through and if the temperatures are in double figures I'll be a happy bunny.

Planning to mow the lawns later today but first a bit of a tidy up, move a few snowdrops and then a good manure mulch.

Didn't watch GW last night have recorded it so I can watch it when Hubby is somewhere else.

Morning all. Another lovely sunny day, but there was a frost again. Must do some more pruning and transplant a Nelly Moser who is being squeezed out between 2 roses.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Lovely and sunny but a very strong wind, I will venture out to play, if I'm not back by evening I've been blown away.

  • Morning all, I have been out to play this morning too image For the first time in ages and I am feeling like a right muppet now!!  It has only just occurred to me that it's March and I really shoul have sown seeds and be growing things.......I haven't even started!! To make matters worse, I have come in to check the seed situation and found loads of bulbs I never planted......tulips, crocus, fritillaria and loads of Alliums image I'm so silly....they all look ok, should I just plant them?

Sorry, I'm going on and haven't said I hope everyone is ok, not had the to catch up and read back but hello to all x

Morning all!  Sun's a bit intermittent here, but it feels lovely and spring-like out.  And the 'Tete a tete' daffs are opening - a lovely birthday present.  image

An unusual start to the day.  Having sent OH off to the football, I was clearing up in preparation for gardening when there was a bang from the chimney in the living room, followed by a lot of scuffling noises.  Taking off the soot door on the side of the chimney revealed a large, sooty jackdaw.  image  I shut the cat out, opened the windows wide and turned off the lights, then sat in the kitchen until the bird emerged, jumped onto the tv (leaving sooty footprints) and then flew towards the light.  A beautiful pair of sooty wing prints on the ceiling is all that's left behind...  image  ...and I know from previous experience that you can remove soot from emulsion paint using a magic sponge.  image  So that's enough excitement for the day, i think!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
