Panda - was it Salvia Greggii Icing Sugar?  I've got that - gorgeous!

29.8C already out there - hotter than it reached all yesterday - I've been out and watered some pots that were looking sorry for themselves in the heat and I've come in for a cold drink for myself.

I need to go back out there and pick the last of the broad beans while they're still in the shade from the ash trees ... but it's soooooooooooooo hot image

Had second thoughts about spin class and decided to do some gardening instead, OH has a client visiting the home office tomorrow so I've been sprucing a little in the Borders. Planted my Rudbeckia to fill a gap lovely, also removed most of the grass tufts growing in my patio. I told OH they make a better lawn than he ever had before

Feet up now on one of the loungers in the sun, I can take it, I'm a lizard and soak up the heat image

Did some weeding and planting of annuals to fill in gaps when it was cooler this morning, watered them well. Now 31°.

    Hello all,

Quick hello again. Life has calmed down a little bit, even managed a dip in the pool today with Charlie (half day at school Wednesdays). Extremely hot despite morning thunderstorm, worrying about my poor garden. image

Off to take Shadow (& possibly myself & Charlie) for a dip in our local lake, poor dog is really not liking this heat. Poor thing also managed to get himself wedged under a cupboard door at lunchtime, the more he tried to get up the more he got stuck, took 2 of us to hold him down and slide him out, don't think he will be sitting there again anytime soon. He also got an electric shock the other day whilst out walking on a cow field fence, I hope he isn't holding any of this against me. image

Runnybeak, my people from N.Z. checked out this morning so that was 2 beds to do already, not sure I am up for a 3rd - sorry. image

Will pop in later to say hello, good afternoon everyone. image

P.S. I put the remainder of my Dundee cake from Sunday 'somewhere safe' and now I can't find it - any of you lot responsible (Verdun ....) ???imageimage
