We went to Port Isaac yesterday , ( where they film Doc Marten) Very pretty but busy even out of season.
Popped into a pub, 3 pints and a coffee £14.35
The car park is at the top of the village. I couldn't manage the hill back to car park so sat on a wall with friends whilst OH went and fetched the car.
OH is doing a roast lunch before our friends leave then I'm heading back to bed. BOTH knees very painful.
Had a read back, Clari, sounds like they deserve you leaving, horrible to be the only one that pulls their weight and not appreciated for it either.
Well done WW, hard work but worth it.
Welcome back Kef.
Hosta, enjoy your little siesta, hope the knees feel better after.
I went on a 'randonnée' (only 2 hours), with my gym group this morning, so good to have locals guide you, saw things we never see on our own and get all the gossip about who lives where and who's who etc. Some beautiful views and coffee and madeleines afterwards too.
One of the walkers is a nurse and she told me to go to hospital with my burn, says it is too bad just to leave as an open wound so am off there shortly. It's not too sore but she said likely to get infected left uncovered. Better safe than sorry. Means gardening is out today too, need to keep it clean, might have to just sit by the fire and read a book (or a seed catalogue).
Have a nice day all.

That hill is a right b####r isn't Hosta. The only thing that helps is a couple of pints in the Golden Lion before attempting it.
