    Hello friends!  image

Back from all-day choir practice in York, so I've had a quick catch-up.

Thank you Runnybeak and Wonky - I'm sure you're right about the need to visit the local dementia home.  I spoke to the manager yesterday on the phone, and we will visit tomorrow & see what we think.  image

Clari - I agree with those who advise you not to stay where you're not appreciated. You deserve better!  If you see a job you like the look of, go for it.  image

A friend at choir had a holiday on the Lizard peninsula this summer, and found herself in the cove where "Poldark" was being filmed.  I saw her photos...  image image

    Evening all image

Have been away at a Brownie Sleepover image Sat - Sunday image Then round to Ma and Pa's for Sunday lunch and obligatory afternoon snooze image Tried very hard to resist but had to give in . . . . . they were very understanding image

Too many comments, but I will say, Clari, no one deserves to be shouted at. Well done you for not shouting back.  As someone who does a fair bit of volunteering, I am aware that people think, well they are volunteers so I can't say anything, well how would they have felt if the shoe was on the other foot. There is not enough walking in other people's shoes done today, in my opinion! I think it would be worth having a conversation with your boss, explaining how you feel and laying down the repercussions of what would happen were you to leave and not come back? As for the cost of your sleepovers, you most def need to charge more!!!! You would be surprised what uniformed groups are prepared to pay! I think £45 is a snip as well, I would expect to pay much more than that (but then I do live in the South East!)  Sorry to have gone on. . . . . image All meant well image

Oops I wish I'd read back earlier before I updated iOS on the iPad.  Just a few glitches to iron out.  See you in the morning.

I was once attacked by a pair of Merlins, who repeatedly dive bombed me, whilst I was walking in the mountains. I can only assume I was close to their nest. It was very exciting and beautiful to see, if a little worrying as they do have very sharp talons.

I hope you get the situation with your mum sorted Liri. I thought I was going to have to do it for my mum, in fact I still think it needs doing. I visited a number of places and found it hard to tell good from bad.

I have started to plot against my neighbour, which I don't think is very sensible, but I can't stop myself. OH has made me promise that I won't do anything whilst she is at work.

I have just watched the Spooks movie and I would love to have been a spy.

    Good night all.

How can you lie there and think of England

Hubby and I are in bed in the new flat! Harrie the cat is exploring the entire place after being very confused and sleeping through most of the trauma!

We started at 8.30am and finished at 10.30pm...bit of a long day! Volunteers didn't show until 4.30pm but worked hard when they came! Only one more rooms worth of furniture to move and hubby has tomorrow off and volunteers have promised to be here by 11am! New kitchen sink and units fitted tomorrow also. Unfortunately we now have no water in with flats so may need more coffee tomorrow Jo! image

Jo, Lesley, SGL, Fairy, DD, Dove..everyone....you are all right! We are knackered!!!! image

Clari, go for the job! They won't know what they have til your gone! Go be appreciated the way you should be!

     Pdoc...what's the plot?...we won't tell! image

Hosta, hope thee knees ease up! Hoping the roast helped them feel better!

Liri, glad to hear you have an opportunity to visit the local home, I think if you are happy with it you will feel more in control not having to worry about transportation for visits, best of luck, hope they impress the socks off you! image

Night everyone and thanks for the coffees and positive wishes!

  • RB, yes have had my cuddles from little poppet, who was 3 months old yesterday!

Well done Wonky, but sorry you're k*******d. Hope you have a good nights sleep and don't ache too much in the morning.

Ooh Pdoc, what are you up to, take care. And as Wonky says we won't tell.

Night night from me too, sweet dreams everyone.
