We had a thunderstorm in the night with some heavy rain!image Not forecast. But will be a scorcher today.

I have 3 blueberries, one fruited earlier than the others, lovely big fruits. The second is fruiting now, smaller berries but the birds have found out. I put fleece on it but there was a wind in the night and it came off. The birds have stripped it.image

    Morning all.

Slightly cooler than yesterday with a bit more cloud.

Planning on working in Hot tunnel before it gets just too hot in there.

Enjoy the good weather whilst it lasts.

Ah, Busy-Lizzie I put mine in pots, and they can be moved into our fruit cage, but so far the birds havent touched them, mind you, they are probably still stuffed from scoffing what would have been our best crop of cherries, yet!!! Next year its kites and windmills at dawn!!!

    Morning all image

Haven't checked the thermometer but I can tell it's hot out there image

Don't have anything in particular on the cards today. I need some more plants for my pots ..... but have run out of compost..... image I feel a trip to my fav market stall coming on...... image I fancy some more pelargoniums and I'm keeping an eye out for a salvia I got last year with shocking pink flowers, can't remember which one it is, but the flowers are more the shape of Hot Lips than Amistad.

Good morningimage.  Funnily enough we've just been out for compost Panda.  You should have let me know earlier and I would have got you someimage.  Very warm but hazy here.  Off to do a bit of digging the compost into the compacted clayimage.  Think I'll manage 10 minutes before I'm back in for a rest then OH can take overimage.

Phew it's hot!!  Woke at 5.30 couldn't sleep so I got up and went outside to deadhead the borders.

Lounged on the sofa with a cup of tea in the conservatory, which is cool until about 11.00, and I've just woke upimage. Feel all at sixes and sevens now.  Not sure what I will be up to today but it definitely wont be strenuous.

You all seem to be doing far too much for such a hot day.
