Liri, Isympathise with your . Dilemma, having torely on public transport doesn't always make these decisions easy. Is there any way you couldvisit your local dementia home and make your own conclusion, itcould bea minor element that haslet their rating slip ?

Pdoc , I think you are being very tolerant but probably not wanting to be!

Your neighbour is obviouslya small and petty person with little joyin their life! Ifind that being really happy despite them, pees folk off terribly when they are trying to affect your life!

Hugs and well wishes to all!

    Have a lovely day everyoneimage

    Morning all.

Suit of armour as well LP....image

Mind you - surprising that Scotland are still in a tournament after England are out!

doc- I have a similar situation with the people who live across the back from me, although I bite my tongue, and then rant to myself indoors. image  Ex hubby had a word with him one day  because he was blocking the access to my drive/parking area (terraced house so we have a back road) with his clapped out Landrover - a normal occurrence. When young fairy learns to drive and has a car parked beside mine - things will have to change. The wife's a real 'nippy sweetie', although I have another, less polite,  name for her image Are you able to get your other neighbours on your side to give moral support? I suppose no one wants to get 'authorites' involved if possible - it gets very messy. image

Hope I didn't upset you yesterday Pat re your daughter. My sister lost her first child as a baby. Never goes away, but time allows you to remember with a smile rather than a tear. I'll be thinking of you that day as it's my late Mum's birthday.

Good morning Wonky image ((hugs)) and anyone else who's about image

I woke several times during the night thinking 'have they thought of this, that and the other?' but have tried to convince myself that you and Lovely Hub are grown ups and can manage all these things - my role nowadays is simply to provide cake image

    Good luck image

Now to read back on what went on yesterday ...

Oooh Jo thanks - just what's needed image

I'm going to pull some scruffs on and go out and mow the lawn just as soon as it's reasonable to make that much noise on a Sunday morning - 9am?  Then I can drink more coffee, listen to the Archers and have a shower and put my face on before meeting friends here http://www.watersedgewoodsend.co.uk/ for lunch image

WW - you weren't there when I posted earlier. Glad it's all taking shape. YOu'll be Kerry Packered, but it's worth doing plenty while you're on a roll! Going out for lunch Dove - how very dare you.... taking time off from decorating duties ...image image

At least you're considerate re the grass  - unlike someone near me who was out cutting their grass at half ten at night recently. What's that about? Sometimes I wonder about people....image

By the time mine leave home I won't be fit to help them - I'll be in a home annoying everyone else by then image

Or maybe not - my idea of hell. When I get to that stage, I'll just wander up a hill and lie down ....

Considered walking again today - it's not  looking too bad up at Arrochar, but decided I should get my bulbs planted and get some other chores done. The last of the tomatoes are slowly ripening so I could get them into the kitchen to finish and get rid of the plants. Garden's looking quite tidy though - took a couple of pics when I fed the birds.

Glorious day here. All mists and mellow... Looks like the kind of day to wake the dogs from their first nap of the day and go for a walk in the woods. They can have a good swim in Lough Erne before it gets too cold.

    Ain't life grand?

    Morning allimage

going on a bike ride - not sure whether I will be able to use my normal noble steed (OH is investigating whether he can get a new chain on a Sundayimage), or a mountain bike with tyres like a tractor.  If its the latter, I will get a real workoutimageimage.

Hope to find time to plant my new purchases when I get home - might as well make the most of the rainy week to come to settle them in.

Enjoy lunch Dove, hope you make lots of progress Wonky.....off to find Fairy's pics nowimage

Morning all. Today I'm considering applying for a new job. Fortunately because my boss is epically incompetent I don't have a contract so I'm quietly convinced I could just not turn up. I do a ridiculous amount of work,  buy everything I need out of my own money, he's never once thanked me. Yesterday I got shouted at by a volunteer for booking a school in on OUR day off (I'm under pressure from said boss to get as many students through the door as I can so am loosing my day off to get another one in on an already full week) and the boss got ranty because I pointed out how much other places charge for scout sleepovers (£45 compared to our £16) and he started going on about "is it worth it" without even considering that I would be offended because I am the only one who does all the work, and he was referring that our event needed to be half decent... so am I doing all this work and it's still crap? I get lots of praise from the scouting groups: they must be so polite!

The fire service have a nice job going...

Oh well. Today I have to blast the house and get everything organised. Anyone have a skip handy?  Wonky I can't believe you're so organised. We've only decorated one room (the smallest) and stalled on all the others. Do remember to rest!

Dove, is your lawn dry at that time? Ours seems to stay damp so I'll be doing it after lunch.
