Unexpected hello from the Backpackers hostel in sunny Oban. They have free wifi. ???
Sorry to hear that lots of you are really sweltering - it's hot here but not yet unbearable, and from the window I can see the island of Kererra and distant mountains - lovely!
Just been chatting to another "inmate", a uni student from St Andrews, off to spend 3 weeks counting, ringing & photographing seabirds on Mingulay. Oh to be young again... ????
See you all later!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Not long in - came back from work, had a drink of juice and went out to finish prepping the new area for lawn. Had my dinner and went back out to finish it and then sowed the seed and netted it all
oh...and shouted at the brats kicking their sodding football against my car. Was right in the mood for it after the conversations here today. Hosta - good for you for telling these hopeless excuses for parents how it really is.
Glad ma was ok Dove
Lovely to have a hog lily
Will try and catch up with all the doings here but need to go to bed
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Liro how gorgeous, I can just imagine. I think you are going to be too hot to garden, best get a cool drink and enjoy the views!

Had a lovely, if somewhat brief visit from Lyn this morning before coalface duties overtook us.
She brought masses of primulas denticulata and I sent her off with a couple of cannas, some grasses , more primulas and a few knautia.
topped 27C here to-day , and for the first time ever driving at work, I had the air con switched on.
