Interesting bit about pelargoniums growing on the beach in South Africa. I have never been to South Africa, but  I bought some seeds back that I took off of a plant on the beach in Western Australia. We called it "peppermint beach" not because it smelt of peppermint, but that was the beach I took it off.   Happy days.

I spent some time on the phone to my electrickery supplier tonight. I had a new meter fitted last year. When it first got read before Christmas, they mixed around the night and day units.  I read it and of course the figures dont match. I know that I use much more in the day than at night, but they mixed them up. I think its sorted now. Also I've been overpaying. Cue a refund and  a reduction in the direct debit. image

Yes I should have picked it up sooner, but last year was a bit of a nightmare with his mum and my dad dying in the same year.  Checking meter readings was the last thing on my mind.

I went to mums today and she was not in.  Hmm. New shoes out of box so she had gone out. I tracked her down to a local hostelry, with her two remaining sisters and two of my cousins. We joined them for lunch as it was Aunty Shirleys 80th Birthday, and she wanted to go out for lunch for her Birthday. She doesn't know that there is a surprise party planned for Sunday in another local hostelry.image

sounds like fun and games at various hostelries FB!

watched GW, raring to go now... ok nothing relevant for me in the programme but it gave me enthusiasm and a push! image must get clematises and rose cut back plus apple trees and other stuff which will no doubt be waving at me once I get out there. thought I'd done a good job of the philadelphus but now, with bare branches, it looks like I need to be a bit more brutal at next pruning time ( but difficult to see the branches for the leaves!)???

Mrs G, GW has just the same effect on me!  Monty's enthusiasm always rubs off...  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Good morning Beausimage.  Shame about work today but you can go out to play tomorrowimage.  I'm up early because the wind is rattling the windowsimage.  Hope your day at work goes well too Winter - don't forget to make extra donuts for usimage.

It was lovely to see Monty back last night but Carol's section was my favourite with the dogwoods reflected in the water.  I've got a dogwood and the adjacent area gets flooded in very wet weather so I'm nearly thereimage.

Good morning all image  I beat you all -  I fell asleep before it started image  Thank goodness I've got it on a Series Link and was able to wake up at watch it at 9pm - and there was me saying yesterday that I wanted it on between 8 and 9 LOL   Yes, loved the dogwoods and rubus etc - gorgeous - have I got room for a patch of dogwoods and would they cope with how dry the soil gets in the summer in the back garden near the ash trees?

Still overcast here, but I'm up and dressed and getting ahead of myself so that I've got plenty of time to go out and play in the garden - I've got some digging to do to extend the Little Wilderness.
