Thanks for the tip about the sunscreen Liri, but i always use it anyhow...too worried about wrinkled no to!
Lovely pics DD
Im sure your flowers are just waiting for a little more sun SGL, they will be worth the wait!
Lyn, you never know, a breath of fresh air might be just the thing, i hope you treat yourself while you are out
Yvie, step away from the plant porn! you will have to convince your neighbours to let you plant in their gardens soon! That spray is fab, i dont use it indoos any more, i use it on pots, baby plants and anything else where they are likely to hide
Verdun, you sound like one of the mitchell brothers or something! We know how to get round you....doughnuts! . Its good your neice has you, some people are only too happy to take advantage!
So, i didnt go back to bed, took some more tablets and went in the garden to try to sort out the screening stuff as it dosent look like my OH will be able to make my fence anytime soon, his back is very bad! Its taken me hours, but it looks much better. Those hawthorn prickles will go through any gloves, i look like ive been fighting a tiger!
Hi Bekkie, didn't realise OH had hurt is back. Did he do it at the Gym? Hope he's OK.
Felt quite rough this morning when I woke up. I have had a sleep and feel better now. My other obelisk has arrived and I might have a go at putting it together. The weather has cheered up a bit. Hope I feel better tomorrow so that I can get some jobs done. Just gonna take a look on t'internet for that slug spray. Must try and stay away from plants.
Well Bekkie, my neighbours are very happy for me to plant my overflow shrubs (got too big for my garden, or cuttings I shouldn't have taken) in their spare patch of land, cos they don't know what to do with it. Buddleja rescued from daughter's cold frame in Warrington is going there soon.
Re slug spray - can you remember where you got yours from, Bekkie? I'm trying to find a supplier who doesn't charge £5.95 p&p...
I've just got back from my U3A French conversation class. I hadn't realised that a surprising amount of what I learnt at school appears still to be sitting there in the dim recesses of my brain, waiting to be found and dusted off.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Yvie, glad you feel better, its supposed to be sunny up our end tomorrow...a good day for planting!. Dove found a fab website for me to buy that spray from, its quite pricey, but even with the amount i spray, ive never used more than two cans in a year. If you struggle to find it, i can see if theres a web address on the can
Thanks for asking about my OH, it seems he has inherited his mums degenerating spine, my mum pulled a few strings for him to have an xray, but he didnt check the results until recently, it didnt look good! Have booked him in with the doc on friday, its probably going to be a long road for treatment...still going to the gym tho, theres no talking to him!
Liri, i used to buy it from the organic gardening catologue, but i think they stopped doing it, very inconvenient!, i was so pleased to find it again when Dove found that site, i grabbed it quick! Theres a phone number on the can 01388772250, they must be able to tell you where to get it.
Im sure your neighbours are flippin pleased to have you planting things! Theres a lady by me who looks after her neighbours front garden with her own, it is the most stunning rose based garden, wish she lived next to me!
