Just a bit of a WARNING folks!  There's a new thread called Weed or Plant by Persais - I've opened it twice and each time there's been a problem with the photo and Firefox has frozen and I've had to close Windows down and start again.  I've sent a message to Daniel but of course he won't get it until he's in the office - I don't really want to open the thread again in order to tick the Alert Mods box as it'll freeze Firefox again.  I'd stay away from it if I were you image

One amazingly well behaved doggy is currently residing on my favourite chair after his trip to the vet. What a difference having a male vet made (he doesn't like ladies at the best of times - especially larger ladies: would love to know what's trapped in his memories). A big injection, an even bigger thermometer up his *cough*, some medication, and 24 hours observation (thank goodness I can work from home today) and no food!

They're still not sure what it is, possibly IBS, if the medication doesn't work its blood tests and x-rays time.

Right. I'd best get on with jazzing up my teachers resource pack: its going to be the shiniest pack around!

Clari, I had a dog with similar problems and they didn't go away until I changed his food t something called Naturediet.  They do different ranges and I think I used the ones labelled sensative.  Its really gentle on the stomach and was recommended by a shop that sells a whole range of herbal remedies for animals.  I used to get it from Pet World.  They have a web site.

Well the sun is shining and it's a beautiful day (cold first thing though).   Ran a few errands and then spent a couple of hours in the garden.  Planted the last two plants from my delivery, deadheaded and did a bit of weeding.

On Nanna duty tomorrow and Friday so trying to get to get some h*******k done in between the more important work in the garden.

It hasn't rained for what seems like ages so will give the garden a good soak tonight.

Ooh another delivery me thinks.  Back in a mo.

Yes it was, Verdun's recommendation for the bas of Taxus Standishii, a geranium called Black Beauty.  Came from Notutts extremely well packaged and in good nick, will use them again.

Had a really bad dream last night, my grandaughter ate some aconitum from my garden, not going into details but it resulted in me getting up this morning and removing it from the garden.  Silly I know but it was a really horrible dream.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Really excited as I've just seen this flower on my tulip tree. It has never flowered before and must be over 25 feet and 15 years old. Can only see one flower and a bud but it's a start.

Makes up a bit for planning for a gypsy site next to my field which I look out on. We live in a village and no one knew about this until the police came at the weekend to tell us and have a look at the site. My daughter went to the local Council Offices in Perranporth and they said there was a meeting that night and we only had until this Thursday to object. My daughter and I quickly printed off some info and went round as many houses as we could to inform people. There was no planning notice at the site and, as neighbours, we should have been informed. At the meeting they realised this and gave us three weeks to object. Also no notice was posted in the local paper. Everyone seems confident it won't go ahead but worrying all the same.
