Sorry again for not popping in more often. Life is just getting in the way.
Eye is slowly improving, although can't drive (that is so frustrating especially at this time of year)
My lovely dog, Oscar, had a stroke on Sunday, we have not said goodbye to him. It is a case of wait and see and keep visiting vets (£££) His legs have gone and is slowly learning to walk again. It is not funny having to carry him at 25KG. This morning he asked to go out and managed to get onto the grass by himself . The vet says as he already has a leg problem the prognosis may not be that good, but we are not to give up on him yet,
Sorry not very seasonal, so to brighten things up here is a photo of my wreath this year
Oscar is 13 1/2 so I know it may be it. but we are not giving up yet.
As a result we are unable to leave him so the present delivering trip planned fro the weekend was cancelled. SIL and husband have said they will come down to us tomorrow to do the exchanges instead so I am now having a present wrapping frenzy - well having a break - so they can have all the rels pressies to distribute when they feel they can
Have marzipanned Cake
Oh Big news -As you know I have been attempting to lose weight the WW way - have succeeded, have become a gold member this week - lost 50lb. To celebrate went out and bought a dress and trousers etc. Before weight loss would never wear a dress.
Matty2 that is fantastic wow im envious lol I could do with loosing about 2 stone... I did 1.5 since September am going to focus on the new year ready for May holiday. I do 5/2 diet as it works well for me and my hectic manic life!!!
Matty sorry to hear about Oscar, he is obviously loved & I bet happy regardless of his problems.
Right Forkers that's me done at the shops. Except Cream for trifles. Unless I scoff the dark chocolate for the shavings on it. ( It has been known) ( also eaten one Xmas pressie and had to replace it, no smiley of a little pig )
Might also do a Punkdoc and drink some of the vino
Weight loss & Christmas ...far too late now...just walk around and inspect the garden, shiver a lot, it burns calories.
Matty ((hugs)) sorry to hear about doggy but brilliant news about weight! Congratulations!!!
I lost a lot (7 stones) some years ago so I know how hard it is and what it means when you've done it. ((more hugs)) A couple of stones have crept back but now I can be more active I'll get them shifted soon. It's one of the reasons I retired - working was bad for my health.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Thanks all - feel really pleased with myself. Have heard the 5/2 can work, But WW worked for me, hardest part now is to maintain it, especially over Christmas
Raking leaves also helps , bins fullls of the things, I know it will be good in a couple of years but at moment just hard work. Wet and windy now so means more clearing when it dries.
Hello all. Sorry to hear about the dog Matty, but congratulations on the weight loss. I am very envious, having put on several stones during my "bad years". Keep saying I am going to do something about it......next year.
Well all of your Christmas activity finally made me head into the centre of Sheffield. I only have to buy for OH, as she does all the nephews and nieces [ you are right Stacey, us men do nought! ] Anyway braved the crowds and all sorted. Now to sort out dinner, OH has an interview for a new job today, so better cook something nice and open some vino.
Have a good evening all.
