Left to right - cucumbers, tomatoes and Cherry Bomb.

I need to sort my greenhouse, I think I might try and make a bench with some pallets at weekend as I have nowhere to put my plants, it's all full up!!!

well done on all veg clari and OL I've only done a few tomatoes and 1 strawberry! Our house will never be finished I suspect, starting to get wooden sash windows renovated next month, can't afford to get all done so picked the 3 draughtiest!

Rosemummy - I think its never ending when it comes to houses!

My strawberries are looking a little sorry for themselves right now. They kept flowering far earlier than they should have done and I am wondering if they've exhausted themselves. Gave them some B&B which I hope will perk them up as even though last year I left the berries for the birds it was nice to potter around the garden and eat one straight from the plant!

OL I think I got my seeds a little sooner than you did which might explain why my purple is a bit bigger. Where are you going to find to put all of these once you pot out?! I really struggled with germination this year but in hindsight perhaps that was a good thing as I'm not sure where I'd put them all if we had a chilly summer. As it is I keep eyeing up shelving to put in the greenhouse (I'm being good until we move the greenhouse and add the second before I do too much).

As you can tell work is terribly busy today. image

Rosemummy, I phoned David Austin yesterday about pruning generous gardener as a climber, got last month or so. The advisor said just leave for now, attach main stems loosely allowing for growth but not to remove any side shoots until jan/feb. Not sure if that's helpful in your case.

Back on way home, course finished half hour early meaning I could get train an hour earlier than planned.

Clari......good question image That is only some of the veg too!!  I've got courgettes, aubergines and more toms on the go!  The courgettes and aubergines were meant to be for on the veg patch, but I have since read that aubergines do better in the GH, arghhhh........I need a bigger GH!!! The latest toms are outdoor ones so hopefully will be ok. I've never had much luck growing veg so I've sown extra thinking that it wouldn't all germinate.....7 cucumber plants, 10 courgette plants.......goodness knows how many chilli plants later I am thinking I was a bit silly image

Ha ha! Oops! I have to say I am looking forward to that second greenhouse even if it doesn't make it for this season - I've already worked out planting plans!!

Could you not make a frame or tunnel over the aubergines to mimic the benefits of a greenhouse but not leave you void of space to move?

Since I'm so terribly busy at work this week I have been spending most of today watching this http://efm.dept.shef.ac.uk/peregrine/

Its a live feed to the Peregrines nesting atop Saint Georges (Sheffield) - they should be hatching any day soon!

Saw a spam merchant on the forum. Less than three minutes after reporting our moderators were on the scene tidying up. They do look after us well!! image

Afternoon all. Pa Panda popped round with the shared lawn mower today so now my grass looks fresh and neat (I did cut most of it, but often he does it all image).

As the weather has been kind I finally got out and did some weeding and 'dead heading'. By this I mean removing the dead bits of flowers that I was using as a marker to remember where they were last year image As my Heleniums are making good growth I've whipped out the old stalks and seed heads. Same with my rudbeckia image I also pulled out the biggest dandelion with at least 10 - 15 flower heads image

Having a relax and a coffee now.

Hope you've all had a good day.

Will check out that live feed later Clari image
