Just a quick pop in, still doing in garden. Clari aubergines need a long hot summer to make them worth the effort IMO. I have grown them in GH and put them outside as they are devils for getting white fly. Lovely flowers on them
Hi all. Lovely day in the garden, the hours just flew by, a lot of weeding done, but even more looking about, seeing new plants appear by the hour! Given how wet winter was, there dont seem to have been too many casualties.
Hope everyone had a good day. Off to sit in the bath with the new RHS mag..
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Lovely here now - pity I was at work most of today. Oh well.
Might get a bit of trellis painted before dinner. Been out weedkilling - I hope the person across the road is going to do something about the sea of dandelions in his front garden - guess who's in the firing line when the wind blows
Clari - I sympathise. I seem to have spent far too much time in painty type clothes in the last 5 or 6 years. It will get better and you'll be glad you did it
Off for a look round to see what you've all been up to. I believe someone's getting a new greenhouse....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hello folks I'm home and we've had to rearrange the house as I was seduced by a 19C Chinese porcelain jar
Good job we didn't do any detours into GCs on the way home or we'd be living on beans on toast for the next month
I've had a lovely plant present arrive - remember that dahlia I saw at East Ruston last year - Star Child - a very kind Forker has sent me a baby Star Child
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
How lovely Dove and just keep thinking positively Clari.
Gorgeous on-off day here, mostly sunny and after my haircut I had a day of pottering as I too am a little fatigued about all the landscaping work.
Jobs completed today include planting up a patch of new border in the purple and white garden, more barking (not the dog kind) and a poke in the eye from my beastly Phormium
It's jolly sore and been watering all afternoon, don't know how I managed to see the tiniest bits of foliage comming through the soil in my potato patch (hurray!) and discovered my new Blue Mammoth hosta got munched on in the coldframe last night and later I found two huge snails to my horror. Obviously the mild winter helped. So my Mammoth is now shredded
Oh well, I just love the view from my garden now and oh, the arch has finnally been removed to make way for its replacement.
What a lovely view Wintersong- and your new arch will frame it beautifully.
Done a few bits and pieces and now having dinner- well leftover tagliatelle as the girls decided to order themselves a pizza.
I have so many lovely daffs all flowering just now - and they glow when it starts to get dark. Cut lots to bring into the house. Isn't spring lovely when we have a nice bit of weather?
Dove - just make sure that vase isn't on a shoogly shelf....

Got lots done, still plenty to go at. At least veg sown and potting on done and hedge cut, guess who did which
Wintersong go steady, I went a bit too keen a few weeks back and couldn't put my socks on for 2 weeks Happily been so warm today no socks needed, but feet need a soak
Nice to see you back Dove hope undergardener coped
Clari, you've achieved so much, despite working & not being well, don't stress ( LOL says me) I've been here 15 yrs & house still isn't finished, but this time of year I don't care. It will all happen x
Can't reply to all, as food to cook, in truth mushroom omelettes, salad & oven chips all I'm up to doing. Will eat pasta tomoz'
Have a good evening all. If I've missed anyone who needs a hug, here it is x
