Lyn, I hope Dad wasn't missing supper by the time you got home.

Strange how sometimes it works.never mind, when the sites up and running we will all be quoting with ease!

dad was fine, apart from the postman he hadn't seen or heard anything.

i did him a jacket potato in the microwave with a big pile of cheese, he loves that.

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

Jo, you've completly confudsed me, i'll never be able to do that quote thingy lol.

  • Just watching Monty Don who says plant heleniums in groups of 3. I bought one yesterday. Must go and buy another two....

  • You don't fool me RB and I couldn't care about the sheets either image

Very sad that Will Giles of the exotic garden near Norwich has died. image

Wasn't there a forum visit there earlier this year?

Himself has gone to play Badminton. About half an hour ago, he realised he hadn't emptied his kit bag from last week. I've put it in the washer with some dettol laundry disinfectant.image

The merryweather  damson tree I planted 20 years ago has finally yielded enough for mixing with something else.  The wild one overhanging the fence crops most years. Stronger taste but a lot smaller. I picked the last of the victoria plums and the last of the worcester apples. Now ive just got to process them and find space in the freezer.

I've given up on heleniums. Expensive annuals in my soil and climate. I planted several   last year. Not one reappeared this year.
