Lovely tennis session today - 8 of us this time - I played 3 sets and gained some compliments from 'the more competitive couple'  image Really enjoyable image

The floor had been polished and was a bit slippy for my Dunlop Green Flash tennis shoes - had to revert to a pair of Hotter trainers image

Mmmm supper was yummy - inspired by last night's Masterchef we had steamed plaice fillets with a creamy mushroom sauce, creamy mashed potatoes and fine green beans.

  • LilyP - pain is incredibly stressful and tiring - treat yourself gently.  Hope you get some relief very soon.

Hazel - we love St Ives - I first holidayed there when I was twenty and now OH and I try to go most years.  It can get a bit busy in the school hols and it's virtually impossible to drive in the town in the old part of the town because the streets are so narrow, but the light is wonderful and the ambience so relaxed.

If you're staying elsewhere in Cornwall the best way to visit St Ives is to leave your car at the car park at Lelant Saltings just along the coast and take the scenic coastal train service around the fringe of Carbis Bay to St Ives - it works like a Park & Ride.  Fantastic and no parking problems image
