Hello and Welcome to Trefor Bark - good to see you image

We're back and flolloping on the sofa - shopping is such hard work!!!  First coffee and pastries in Carluccio's, then new comfy shoes, perfume, shampoo and similar bits & pieces from Boots, six  summery tops (M&S very reduced) some wood glue and brass screws to fix a garden chair, a big sheet of plastic and a large roll of art paper for OH.  The roll of paper was so long we had to have the top down to bring it back, then I pressed the button to put the top up before OH had taken it out of the car, and squidged it a bit image  good job it's for prep sketching, not important stuff image

Lunch was at Jamie O's Italian place - I had lovely little lamb chops with a chilli yoghurt dip, onion and mint salad, polenta chips and cauliflower fritti.  OH had spicey duck leg with Italian green lentils and fennel salad. We shared my polenta chips and cauliflower.   It was really really good image

We decided we'd only need something light for supper image, so we bought a lobster from the market and some asparagus from the farm shop on the way home - I'll make some hollandaise for it, but I think we'll be eating late this evening.

We know how to live image

Morning and evening all, been AWOL at vets with Flatface, but just visited and he's feeling much better after having his abscess cleaned out! Not sure he feels better about being hoodwinked into loosing his manhood whilst he was under tho! image

Responsible haircut panda? Sounds serious! image sounds like chicky has the wheels looking equally posh!

Heavenly sounding day Dove! Glad you both enjoyed it! image

Haha Jo, there seems to be a garden centre near every place you visit! So I can see its clearly not your fault! Its those naughty town planners! image

    Evening all,

    Welcome Trefor and Kitty.

Hope all exam takers had a good day.

Sounds like a good day out Dove.

Sounds like some good purchases made at the Garden Centres today, obviously there are lots of sticky labels aboutimage

Verdun, my Cannas are a long way from flowering but they were new this year so I suppose I must be patient.

Been on Nanna duty today but off duty for the next two days so hopefully I will get plenty of gardening in.  Need to decide where to put my new Clematis, I'm leaning towards a container at the moment but want to source the right one.

Off for a quick look round.

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands

Wonky - well done for taking Flatface to the vet and getting him treated and 'sorted out' - not everyone would do that for a stray.  I hope he comes to appreciate that it was all for his own good  image

Wonky, how did you manage a  visit to the vets, let alone Flatface's emasculation?

I am correct in my knowledge that he's not yours image

    Did you pay for it?

    Welcome Trefor and Kitty image

Winter, I'm afraid I did, and considering my job isn't secure at the moment, I think I maybe crazy but the vets think I'm lovely and did it on the cheap for me! Should have been £136 in total but they did it for £76 and a free overnight stay and free treatment and antibiotics jab, bless them! image Dove has just told me she will contribute which is very kind, image she says she doesn't mind contributing to deKnackering a moggy! image

In short Winter, I think Flatface has decided that he is mine, and I've got him a color, but he's still a shed cat but its a very comfy one and we are going to get an ID catflap so he doesn't have to defend it and he's safe in there!

    What am I like?!?!?image

Phew, I'm back! Not so much a grown up hair cut as a bleach of the roots image image I prefer to have dark roots than a badger stripe image image My hair dresser wasn't there when I arrived (no appointment needed, it's drop in) so was delayed by an hour!

Haha Jo! Yup cats choose where they want to live! That's how we got our last cat! Three legged white cat moved into the shed! Be one heartless ***** that ignored that plight! Rescued our latest Harrie from a revoking centre and now Flatface! Cat club grows and grows!

    Evening all.

Our lovely window cleaner has done a wonderful job as usual and our lovely tree surgery chap has sent his man round  with 2 loads of chipped beech and ash. Makes the most wonderful compost.

Been very busy and now heading for a nice long bath.

Please excuse the smell. His Lordship safely returned from his bike ride and hasn't showered and the dog has exploded in the hallway. I am so very tempted to rip the carpet up and dispose of it via the black bin...

... shame he's also managed to hit the wallpaper, my sewing machine, and the tent.
