nice and sunny here will have to look around the garden see what is still flowering, my peaches are ready and I made a nice peach tart last night yummy pre made base easier way
been super busy with collecting pallets for the shed build and cardboard to cover the weeds on my allotment plot now have mountains of pallets in the garden
I had to re read that about the peach tart Verd. Ggirl asked what your best plant was in the garden just now and you said 'peach tart'. Thought I'd missed something!
Looks good though Ggirl
Smoked kippers and bananas? Are you pregnant Verd?
Marmite - not for me, but GWRS - why don't you get a jar for yourself to spread it on....well, whatever it is you spread it on?
Incredible the amount of growth you get Verd. It just highlights the difference between north and south in terms of length of season.
Sun has broken through at last here. Unfortunately I have to go and get a haircut Shouldn't take too long though so might get some deadheading done and maybe plant the bulbs I bought.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thanks all for good wishes. Gertie, I wish I could convince my brain to take your Mum's advice.
Verdun, would your dog, (I seem to remember the name Spike from several pages ago) not have preferred the banana?.
I'm trying to think which flowers I'd prefer from my garden at the moment. It's a bit hard at 10.40pm to be really sure. I'm enjoying the Forsythia with a Spiraea thunbergii in the foreground (they look so good together), but then again the jonquils seem to be taking over with lots of muscari contrasting against them. It depends on what height I'm looking at.
That's all folks! as they say in the cartoons. I'm off to bed.
Lesley, Lily, Verdiin and Flowers, thanks to you all. It's lovely to have this support. It's strange living in a small community like we do,; you try not to let anyone know your business, because it always seems to be a competition to be the first one to spread gossip. We find it hard to take at times.
Hubby pulled out a photo for me to post. This is Costa who is our equivalent of Monty - in that he is the one who is the main presenter on our weekly ABC garden show.
I think I'd better try to get to sleep before your responses arrive!
