Evening everyone, seems you have all had a busy day? Glad wonky that flatface is ok and hasnt noticed his missing bits....yet!
Just been shuttering everything down here as storms etc tonight plus rain next 3/4 days. Garden needs it but dont know how the outside tomatoe/courgette/ pepper plants will do .
Have covered tomatoes/peppers with there usual covers (plastic with holes) & hope when i wake, they be fine.
Is anyone watching Springwatch?.... I found, what i thought was a snake when checking my garden for slugs 2 nights ago. The snake which now has been pointed out as a Slowworm was found in my compost heap and im very glad as it seems it eats all the slugs . Dont want to sit on one though. I have taken a video so shall post once i look it out.
I think I could do the zip line. After all, I walked all around ayers rock and climbed the sydney harbour bridge( with the aid of a lot of ibuprofen). Its parting with fifty quid that I could spend on plants that's the problem.
Clari! What a day! You poor love! Like the OH's contribution to cleaning, very helpful! hope poorly pet gets well soon, for your sake and his!
Thanks for the Flatface well wishes, Clarice, Jo and Dove! hasn't noticed anything out of the ordinary so far, think he's just so relived to have his abscess sorted he hasn't noticed, as you say, yet!.....
Have a lovely evening all! Let's hope for better weather tomorrow!
Found the RHS plants and flowers book mentioned last week and only 1p on Amazon says it will arrive Thursday my readers digest which is looking all of its 40yrs+ can be retired to the bookshelf it's been my gardeners friend since my very first garden.
Loads more on the site could easily get carried away but if anyone has a good recommendation I would be easily swayed
Good morning Chicky and any/everyone else Sorry about the salt Chicky - it can't be us - must be those others - we don't use much here - the doc says it's bad for me. Have to have some on dippy eggs tho'.
Very noisy magpies in the back garden! They'll be waking OH up at this rate, we'll get an even earlier start to our day out than envisaged!!!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Eggs certainly need a bit of salt but if I use a little bit less you won't have to work as hard chicky. At least you have something to look forward to this evening. I can see a plant list materialising after the talk
Another lovely morning here and the birds are all in full voice.
Runnybeak - the vets don't seem overly concerned and think that he might have ibs but I'm pushing for more tests to make sure as nothing seems to settle things down. Well he slept through the night comfortably I just need to start warming up to lift him through the vets door.
