Morning all - drizzly one here, think I live in what R4's weather man called "the soggy middle"...
Thank you, Bekkie & KEF! Yes, it is a difficult time but I'm lucky to live so close (just 5 mins walk). It's really easy to pop in and give her a cuddle - brightens up my life as well as hers!
Bekkie, I haven't chosen a clematis yet. Got a GC visit planned for Wednesday, to buy a houseplant, something scented, for Mum's birthday present (she loves jasmine, but it doesn't last long in the warmth of the home - any better suggestions, anyone?), so I anticipate a good browse among the climbers. They usually have a good selection. OH knows I'm looking for "slug pub" slug traps (we have unwelcome visitors in the kitchen at night!) but probably won't be surprised if I come back with some bits and pieces for the garden too...
How does Beau like his new garden, Beau's Mum?
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Liri, that SAS spray i use outdoors is atcually meant for stopping our slimy friends indoors, i swear by the stuff, a little pricey, but would last for ages indoors, you would probably only need one can a year, its not nasty stuff, made from yukka i think
Ooo, Bekkie - not tried that. Will google it! Thanks for the suggestion.
Btw, to Bekkie & Clari, if you use the selenium supplement you should wear sunscreen; apparently there's a link between selenium and non-malignant melanoma (though I believe it is very good for boosting the immune system).

Morning all, Sounds like everyone is busy today. I'm a bit disappointed as I read the weather forecast wrong and for some reason thought today was going to be sunny had all sorts of things planned in the garden but it's absolutely throwing it down.
Might have to resort to plant porn again. I might try that SAS stuff Bekkie. I occasionally get them indoors. They squeeze out of the side of the well cover in the conservatory (which is our dining room). I would def go and have a nap Bekkie, but the time you resurface the weather might have brightened up a little. Hope George has settled.
Hope everyone has a good morning, off for a quick look around.
Posts
Seeds to sow today;
Antirrhinum Royal Bride
Snow in Summer
Menconopsis Baileyi Alba (5 weeks to germinate apparently)
Will be watching them avidly.

Good morning all. Thick fog -3°. Hope it brightens up this afternoon, things to do outside.
Afternoon, was feeling left out because so many of you have flowers peeking through so went on a hunt, look what I found!
Sunny now the thick mist has gone and I am sure a little daff is going to be out very soon too. Back to seed sowing now & Shadow walking.
Lovely pics DD, still waiting for my helebores to flower
and the snowdrops are slow too.
Lovely piccys.
I have a few hellebores just coming, snowdrops very slow as seems to be across all regions, last year at this date they were up and finished.
