DD I'm leaving three 'men' behind but have my doubts about their ability not to overwater or protect from strong sun. They could surprise me. If Verdun could pop up from Cornwall a couple of times a day I will provide all the donuts he could possibly eat.
Dove, hope you dont mind me asking, did that selinium stuff really help your sister? Afraid ME baffles me, every time i read something about it, it contradicts the last thing!
Take it easy Chicky, hope its not as bad as you expect this week, worst case senario...the stress forces you to buy plants!
Lesley, im sure the seedlings will be ok, its lovely you make such an effort to see your parents
Happy sowing DD! What will you sow today?
Verdun, its quite a big deal that someone trusts you to sort and what not in their garden...take it as a compliment, any doughnuts are a bonus!
Might have to go back to bed for a cheeky nap, at 3am my OH announced he hadnt slept all night (strange that as he had been snoring!) So the tv went on, he promptly went back to sleep, then of course George woke up, after eating and visiting the loo he still wouldnt settle, cried like a baby every time i stopped stroking him, i got back to bed around 4! Should have had a cat!
Liri, sorry, am a bit befuddled this morning! Meant to say, i hope your mum is as well as she can be, it isnt nice to watch a reletive getting frail, but lovely that she still knows you and enjoys your visits , did you choose a clematis or have you decided on something else?
Verdun, with your powers of persuasion im sure a larger will be on the cards
Lesley, careful what you wish for, i reckon Verdun could eat more doughnuts than even i could!
Bekkie - re the Selenium (my daughter, not sister by the way ) - back when she had it there was no real medical understanding, although she did have tests showing that her body seemed to be constantly in a state of reaction to a virus. I think the ME had to run its course (she had it from her mid teens and into her mid to late twenties following a bad bout of glandular fever when she was eleven) - the Selenium didn't 'cure' it, but it did seem to help prevent her getting every virus that was going - if she stopped taking it her health was noticeably worse - she would catch a cold and then she'd get really ill with joint pains, permanent exhaustion and memory problems and a real 'low feeling' - not depression, just a real and tangible inability to focus on anything. When she took the Selenium ACE regularly she really didn't get as many colds and bugs, and so wasn't knocked sideways quite so often. The ME was an awful time for her, taking roughly ten years out of her education and career. Thankfully she's a tenacious and determined lass and resumed her education, getting a good degree and marrying her lovely man, and she now has a job that she loves
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Verdun tidy up anything you fancy from neighbour's garden
Bekkie my OH can also watch television whilst snoring.
Chicky I hope your working week isn't as manic as predicted.
I'm going shopping for mum a new linen basket I've heard through the grapevine that my de-cluttering her house means I think her demise is imminent so I'd better introduce something new.
Good morning everyone, thank you for all your lovely welcome back posts yesterday and sorry I didn't get back online again as had friends visit and then day had gone!
it is dull here today and supposed to be rain so think I'll have to sort paperwork and pay some bills now I'm back online and then fingers crossed hoping to have first day in the garden tomorrow as meant to be sunny
Hope you all have good days and will catch up for sure later x
