Clari, it sounds like you need more than vit c, if i were you, i would take a high dose of everything for at least a month and see what happens, i had symptoms similar to yours at your age, the only difference was i literally couldnt stay awake andvwasnt doing nearly as many hours, i really, really dont want you to have what ive got, please take care! P.S still think it would be a good idea to hose the kids down before you let them in
Sounds like GG and Archie have had lovely gardening days, could you send some sun this way please ?
Just made him indoors a snack- 2 baguettes, salad, 2 huge angus beef burgers and 10 onion rings! Now to clean off all the fat thats splattered all over the kitchen.....just call me cinders!
Bekkie, thanks for enquiring about Mum. Yes, she's had a urinary infection followed by a chest infection; she has Alzheimers so she's always a bit muddled, but the infections made her much more so. She's now much better after the infections, but the muddle has increased, and her speech is affected a lot. I'm going to see her often, because she still recognises me as someone who loves her, and she's happy when I rabbit on about the great grandchildren etc. But she's 94 on Friday so I shouldn't be surprised she's failing... doesn't make it a lot easier though...
On a lighter note, OH and I were in fits of giggles at 5am today. We were both awake, and were grumbling to each other about it in whispers, as you do at that time in the morning. The cat obviously heard us, came into the bedroom and jumped onto OH's bedside table as a stepping stone onto the bed. On the bedside table were his Christmas socks (no, I don't know why either... ), and the cat trod on them on the way up, causing us to be serenaded with a cheesy selection of Xmas songs...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Sowed my first batch of seeds yesterday .....just peeked......nothing yet
Expecting a nightmarishly busy week at work, so probably won't be posting much - but I will be looking in. You lot keep me sane when the world around me is going bonkers
Good morning chicky and all who are about to surface
Sounds as though you have quite a week ahead but I don't quite know how we keep you sane. I have planted seeds too and the first ones germinated in just three days. I check them all a dozen times a day.
It will be a busy week for me too as I've decided that the weather looks settled for a while to go to Cheshire to visit Mum and Dad. Today I'll sort out the freezer, tomorrow I'll pack and Wednesday I'll be off. I'm just worried about my seedlings
Seed sowing time, so exciting, been reading my packets for weeks. Think I might give it a go today too.
Chicky, hope work not too stressful, I'll post a pic if a seed sprouts to help you through it.
Lesley, maybe you could hire a housesitter for your seeds, Verdun seems to be offerig help for the price of a doughnut (or 2 - you know what a haggler he is).

Clari - get yourself a few months' supply of Selenium ACE http://www.boots.com/en/Wassen-We-Protect-Immune-Health-SELENIUM-ACE-D-90-tablets_1922/
My daughter had a rotten immune system for years due to ME (myalgic encephalothophy) which followed on after glandular fever when she was only !!!
Selenium ACE made a real iprovement to how she coped when all the winter bugs were about!

Liri (hugs) for worries about your Mum. If i'm awake at 5am,which isn't unusual, I hope I'm giggling

Clari I hope you start to feel better soon, listen to your Auntie Bekkie and Auntie Dove. Very good advice.
See you all tomorrow.

Lesley - you lot keep me sane by chatting about gardens and plants ... Always does me good to remember my garden in times of work crises

Morning all,
Seed sowing time, so exciting, been reading my packets for weeks. Think I might give it a go today too.

A very misty moisty morning here in Norfolk - more book sorting to be done - at least we've reached Fiction
