Sorry I'm late , first foray into "Hello Forkrers" but I feel the the need to have a bit of a vent. My youngest daughter has been on the phone teaching her friend how to work out the area of a circle this evening. Maths calc exam tomorrow morning!!!!!!
I was trying to be sensitive by calling to her, "do you want a cocoa" to get her off the phone, and whispering "use a pizza to explain" because the girl in question was confused about the difference between circumference and diameter????
In the end Mr K went in and said "Get off the Phone NOW"
A frustrating evening for me trying to do the right thing and keep the peace..
Good morning all It's another gorgeous morning out there A little chilly - hope no one got caught by a frost - there was one forecast in some areas.
Kitty, welcome aboard Hello Forkers!!! Vent away! Sounds like the girl in question is panicking and your youngest has a clear understanding and a calm head on her shoulders - that should stand her in good stead - good luck to her today
We had at least two hedgehogs huffing and puffing about in the wilderness under the trees last night - couldn't tell if one was Hefty or not, but whoever they are, they're both well grown healthy looking adults so we're happy.
I've been for a wander outside in my jimjams, and now I'm sipping coffee and listening to a coal tit in the big ash tree
OH is on annual leave this week so we're having some trips out doing lovely things - think today's plan is to get some bits from the fantastic hardware store in the city and then have a nice lunch out
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Have a lovely week Dove - looks like it will be a sunny one
Welcome Kitty My littlest Chicklet has the dreaded Maths exam this morning too ....wonder whether it is too late to mention pizzas (Better not risk it). Chicklet has her first A level this morning too....its gonna be a busy week. But this is the final push....and soon they will be able to enjoy the summer
In the meantime, the garden is blooming ....very pleased with my Olympus iris....which I will share with you as an exuberant start to the week
Morning all - nice here and I have to work. Typical after yesterday!
Lovely pic chicky. Good luck to chicklets and ...kitty-en? Stressful time. Youngest fairy all done - no more exams or school. Think she's quite pleased really..
Hope to get something outside done after work so see you all later
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Too much weekend chat to catch up on but it sounds like it was a great weekend for some of you
Beautiful weather here, the birds are eating a day's supply in about three hours at the moment so maybe a trip out today or tomorrow for more food. Other than that, I've got decorating to finish and maybe help my overworked OH to ease the burden of five contracts he currently has. It's a bit like buses, none for ages and then several at once
