Dove make sure the lists and wrapping are done before you participate in the sherbert.image Have a good time.

Verdun hope it's not too bad a day.

Off to SM for me, and then taking Mum for her stuff this afternoon, can't combine the two as two trollies & lists too complicated. Might be me on the sherbert later.image

  • By the time I get up and going all the early birds have flown the nestimage. Off to shop to serve again. Watching Arkwright, Open all hours revival on Breakfast TV made me laugh again. Thinking about it I am the only man to work in the shop! Must get some brown overalls. Still I look great in my green pinny! image

    Morning all.

    Beautiful cake, Stacey.

Must clean sitting room then put up Christmas tree. Bought it yesterday.

While in the GC also bought some more violas and a David Austin rose on special offer, 14.5€. One in a pot, William Shakespeare, deep crimson, very fragrant. In the French catalogue bare root ones are 18.95€ + postage. It will have to go on a pot on the terrace as flower garden is full and roses outside the fenced bit are eaten by deer.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Its arrived. Huge pile of FYM. well rotted mix of horse and cow dung and shavings and straw. No smell, no steam, ready to go on the garden. Pile is 15ft wide and about 4 ft deep, so I told the farmer I'd ring him when I'm ready for the next lot. That should keep me busy for January.

I potted up the half price  snakes head fritillary bulbs, and I even remembered to label them.  OH has decided as he's now finished for Xmas, that its OK to eat the  xmas cake. I made two in September. The test one was eaten in October, he's starting the big one now. Its not iced or marzipanned because it just gets left.

Its very mild and calm here.  Have a good day  everyone.

  • Afternoon all... Been v busy today already.... I'm so sorry to the men on the forum but why oh why is Santa the only man that does anything at this time of year? Panda it's snowflakes next year lol..... I already have 3 orders for next year happy to do them and aa I do it for fun just ask for them to contribute to ingredients and give ££ to a local childrens charity ( hospice for kiddies) I have wrapped 10 toys today for said charity and delivered to them. Waiting for the oven man to come and then more wrapping :::imageigh::::::

  • Hi Verd. How come you are in your deckchair? My rain radar says it's tipping down in Cornwall. Is it the lager or the dodgy cheese which makes you hallucinate? image

Too much nutmeg on the egg custards causes hallucinations. Also too much in the mulled wine.image
