Cars are such a dripping roast DD. Mine was serviced on Friday and of course there were some 'little advisory things' and could they just do them? 'How much?' says I. '£280 ' says he. No thanks was the obvious reply....
Rather chilly here - it was - 6 when I left this morning, never even got as high as zero and by 4pm it was - 2. So glad it wasn't this week we were without the boiler!
Steak pie made and almost ready for dinner so I'll have a quick look round before I have to dish it up.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Oh Dd ((hugs)) sorry to hear about the car Hope it doesn't cost too many arms and legs
We've just had a big pot of oxtail stew and herby dumplings - it's a good job tomorrow is a Fast Day !!! Just washing my vitamins and calcium pills down with Rioja
Where's Panda???
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I feel like doing a Gazza now. We were sitting down to tea when the alarm went off by the boiler. It wasn't that alarm it was the smoke alarm in the hall Younger son raced in from his room, picked up the burning tea towel and wicker basket that were well alight and threw them in the sink. I feel such an idiot for not checking the hob was off. No damage done apart from my self esteem, a tea towel and a basket.
Hi all, it's taken ages to catch up and I've only been missing a day. Hope you're OK Panda.
I've just ordered a load of organic manure from your compost supplier Bekkie, was a v.good price. I once used manure from a stable, never again. They drove up and dropped it on the drive, the neighbours didn't speak to me for months. It was vile.
Re my gardening budget, I usually work out what I think I will spend, multiply it by 2 and allow a 100% contingency slush fund. I'll probably still break it.
Can't remember who it was but someone was worried about a school being built behind them. I used to live two door from a senior school and never had a problem apart from parking. However, it did go downhill and when I came home unexpectedly and found a load of students eating fish and chips in my porch I decided it was time to move. I now, once again, live in between two schools and have no problems at all.
Hope everyone has a good evening, I'm off to look around.
Oh, cars DD and fairy. You probably have a bit of leverage with OH now DD if you are thinking of replacing it. Very costly though. Fairy it's strange what a garage can find that's 'not essential, BUT'.
Our car door has gone weird. I could open it but not shut it and used de-icer and WD40. That did work but when I got to SM I couldn't open it and had to climb over to the passenger seat to get out. We'll have to see how we can get in tomorrow
