Well done Wonky image When you squash them between your fingers, that's when you know you're hardcore image (I am wearing gloves when I do this)

    That made me feel betterimage

Good day - half of it at GC, where I got half of what I was looking for (will have to return next weekimage) and half of it potting new purchases on and sowing some seeds and breathing in great lungfuls of lily of the valley scent. Mmmmmmmmmimage  Sun came out about 2, and was lovely from thenimage

Evening all, back from Nanna duty until Monday.

Been feeling down and extremely sad too P'doc and Wonky, but life goes on so they say.

Flumpy, you really have to do something about this.  Speak to your line manager and explain the problem again and inform them that if they do not take you complaint seriously you will take legal advice, that should get them moving.  No one should be made to feel uncomfortable in the workplace. In fact, I'd be tempted to put the complaint in writing and copy your union rep in.

Had a good day today at the Malvern show, without doubt it was the best show I've been to.  The flower tent was beautiful, lots of interesting stands and independant suppliers.  Hartcanna were true to their word and had a lovely Canna Shenandoah waiting for me to replace the one that didn't produce any shoots.

Have a new gardening book to delve into after a look round the site.

Glad you got your replacement Yvie. Good nurseries know it's well worth looking after their customers. image

That's the advantage of not getting everything you wanted chicky - you have to have a return visit image

That lovely pic of your grandchildren takes me back Frit - weren't all our childhood days like that though?...image

Well done MrsG. I've never grown them (I don't like the colour image)   but the climate here is ideal for them.

I've had a nice day pottering outside and trying to tempt Dennis (resident robin) to come and take food from my hand. He's getting braver but stops a foot or so away. The cheeky mouse was out as well - broad daylight.  Potted on my toms and got the supports done for them as well as planting a few bits and bobs. Apple trees are covered in blossom - one isn't so happy. Too long in the big pot it was in, so I'll have to see how it goes.

Had some baked salmon with lots of veg for dinner and now putting my feet up image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Evening all. Back from the scout camp and we only suffered one bladder related incident (not mine) and one poor lad who couldn't last out and fell asleep on us. Good camp!

Worked out in nine days (on a 30 hour a week contract) I've so far clocked up 97 hours. I don't even know how that is possible.

BUT I AM NOW OFF WORK UNTIL TUESDAY! TWO DAYS OFF. WHOOP WHOOP!!!! Technically I need to go work tomorrow but only to deliver some resusi anns for a Biker Down course.

Now... best get the sythe out and cut a path to the greenhouse.

Yvie, sounds like a perfect day - especially after watching it on GW.image

Made Pad Thai tonight, can't remember whos favourite it is on here, but s/he convinced me to try it, and it was marvellous image

Lilac tree is in its glory, unfortunately it seems I was too eager to tame it last year, it's a bit sparse to say the least image

It's Hostafan who loves Pad Thai, I love it too.  We have a great Thai restaurant locally and I often order it.  Never made it though.

Yvie, thanks yes it's  Hosta, we are going to Japan in January so thought Thai was a reasonable start, not very brave where 'sushi' is concerned but it's gonna have to happen image, until then I'll keep having a go at other random recipes.

Glad you had a good time at the show Yvie, it looked glorious on GW image

Make the most of your time off Clari! Fingers crossed for sunshine!

Glued to the sofa after cheering myself up with forerib of beef, stuffed ourselves silly and desperately trying to make room for apple crumble!

Still on for that pavlova tomorrow tho Dove! After I've completed all your gardening job list I reckon I'll manage it! image
