Pat I'm stuck on a crossword clue and wondered if you could help:- A small drought-resistant tree of Australia. 5 letters .... W---A. It may be obvious to some people but not to me.
The host has one of the vacuum thingies they use on Masterchef and had marinated the meat overnight before cooking for 3 hours in a waterbath at 61C then half an hour over coals. Unbelievable.
For a small gathering of about 12 - 15 , there was English, Scots, Lithuanian, Greek Cypriot and an Israeli. How cosmipolitan.
It was beside a lake which was lovely , and not muddy, and the most amazing sunset was enhanced by the perfect reflections.
Break this morning is " use up everything out of date in the fridge"
Hosta your BBQ experience sounds idyllic. Beside the lake, beneath the trees comes to mind but the wrong season for daffs. Glad you enjoyed it.
Pat - you're a star. Wilga fit in perfectly and you replied with perfect timing. I always 'phone my Mum and Dad at 10 on Sunday morning and there is a bit of a competition as to who has finished the crossword (Sunday Express) by then.
Morning everyone . Another glorious day here and since its Sunday, i think i will have a wee read back to what you all have been doing, then take myself out to the sunlounger with a good book and chillax . Have a lovely day everyone.
Oooooh Hosta - that sounds wonderful - the BBQ I mean, although the breakfast doesn't sound too bad either - lurve salami
We've now decided to abandon plans for big lunch as OH has only just had breakfast - a light lunch will be taken later then supper will be .......... smoked Westcountry bacon, local butcher's sausages, free range eggs, tomatoes from the garden, mushrooms and some fried sliced new potatoes ........ there's sourdough bread to mop up the juices ......... the queue starts at our back door ...........

Punk doc, according to one of my cousins, one of our ancestors who came out in the mid 1800s used to work at Chatsworth as a groundsman or gardener (not sure which), and he even paid his own way. Hope you have a good visit.

Does Wilga fit? Geijera parviflora. Good luck. That cheered me up. I'm currently bored silly. Waiting for the final of the Voice to start at 7pm.
Morning all.
Steady rain here this this morning.
BBQ went very well yesterday afternoon.

Morning all.
Quick chance to log on, MIL still in bed.
She informed me last night that she would like to go to Chatsworth today! BH Sunday, it should be pure hell.
Actually very nice to see her, as we don't get up to Ballater nearly as often as we did, now I am no longer climbing mountains.
Not got time to read back, so I hope you are all well and have a lovely BH.
