Morning all - a dreich day here after the last couple of lovely days but it'll put lots of growth on everything
Hosta - that's three or four days worth of work doing that bed! I bet it'll look splendid in the coming months. The little ducklings are an added bonus. Isn't springtime just fantastic
I've seen very few slugs and snails so far Verd. It's been a drier, colder couple of months so the plants have got early growth on them without mollusc damage as soon as they poke their heads out the ground. I'll pop any I see in the post to you though....
Can't do late nights either Lesley Glad you raised a good sum
Off for a look round while having a cuppa and catching up on the gardening progs. Multi tasking
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Good morning everyone : ) the sun is out in the NW so perfect gardening day after the groceries shop ho and my in laws are coming this am : ) best get a move on .......
Hello all, I am pretty new on the forum so I thought I'd take this chance to just say thanks for this chance to "talk garden". I live ina very rural area in SW France, but don't often get to chat about plants with anyone much, so I missed it!
Sunny and ridiculously hot here today. Will sow cucumbers (again... last batch got eaten by something) and plant out my Luffa and Tomato seedlings.
My big dog "wagged" my beautiful Mrs Pollock pelargonium off a table outside, so i guess it's also time for me for making pelargonium cuttings .
Morning Katherine. Can you send over some of your sun here please
What's Luffa?
Need any help with that shortbread judging Panda? It's our national dish up here after all so you really need an expert to fully test all samples thoroughly....

Luffa cylindrica is the plant from which you make loopha (?) sponges. It's a bit like a climbing courgette, but when the fruit is ripe there is this fibrous spongy thing inside... a friend of mine had it in Italy, and it is so weird and curious that I decided to try !
I wouldn't mind sending over some sun, it's really too hot here for May!
We have several members in France not sure if anyone near you but there is a mapyou could look at which shows where everyone is
Always a chat about gardening going on here, why not post some pictures if your garden on the pictures thread? Envy you your lovely climate as I stare out at low cloud light rain and low temperatures
Several of us have doggies who create problems too, but we wouldn't be without them!

Morning all
And welcome Katherine
Hope visiting, shortbread judging and planting goes well
Got some clematis to get in the ground and some more seedling babies to settle into their own pots. Bit grey here, but no rain. But first.....porridge
Which clems did you get chicky? Constance is looking bonny here - is yours doing well?
Porridge - missed mine again this morning. Had a breakfast more like one from Katherine's neck of the woods - pains au choc and coffee
