    Hi all!

Rain here overnight and this morning so I got the boring jobs done early (shopping, cooking, etc) in the hope I might get out to make some "rustic" steps (ie wood, topped with bark chippings) up to the bird feeders behind the house, while OH is at the football this afternoon.  (Slope is lethal in wet weather.)  Anyway, the sky looks promising and the rain has stopped...  image

Beaus Mum, great news re house viewings.  Fingers still crossed...

Matty, do you get migraines?  Hope you feel well enough to enjoy your special dinner tonight.

Greetings to Apricot from Gracie & Vera, our rescued moggies...

HW seems to have put itself on hold (funny how it does that). Shopping waiting til tomorrow thanks to invite out to tea. Spotting with rain again. Garden is a little overfacing as such a mess but might venture out anyway. That or GC.
  • Right ladies, like to help-out a poor useless lone bachelor?

I've just cut to size, one of those table protectors......is it rubberised side up or down?   image

    Thank you in anticipation.  image

Felty side down, waterproof side up - that way it won't soak up any spillages image

Can you please remind my OH he hasn't cut ours to size yet? image

  • Bless you, Dove xx ....that makes sense. I just wondered if the rubbery side may have been to prevent slipping.

Send yours down....I have no problems with DIY.image But, he was very good while you were incapacitated. image

I had a bad fall while on hols and bashed my head on a stone terrace (wasn't knocked out). Result large bump - still there, badly bruised face - still there, broken specs -fixed now, x-rays etc - bit of concussion will eventually go away, Doc said can take a couple of months

    But  particularly bad this week.

Good news Daughter and partner found a lovely house they could actually just about afford, made an offer and it was accepted. Needs work so now fingers crossed they will get a mortgage

Trying to do order for plants and garlice- what though - still have a new bit of white border to plant up. Lost all the bookmarked nurseries  when new lap top was sorted out. There were some of Verduns but can't rmember nay of them (goes with the 'bump on the head)!!!!!  Well it's a good excuseimage

He was David - and he is a complete star - and I'm sure it'll be done by Christmas image

Matty ((hugs))  I did something similar just over 3 weeks ago - bust my wrist but thankfully no concussion (although I too had the multicoloured facial bruises).  Treat yourself very gently until you're completely back to normal.
