It's been a really sunny day here in Worcester but it's really cold. Now it's gone cloudy and looks like rain. Will be glad to get home this evening I'm really tired after last night. I'm expecting two clematis to be delivered tomorrow from Taylors Macropetala and Macropetala Markhams Pink was going to put them in a couple of trellised planters but might change my mind and add them to the rose obelisks. It would extend the season and they don't need pruning so should be alright with the climbing roses, they all grow to about the same height.
Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better Matty, don't do too much.
Bit of a result, my inlaws spotted me while i was walking to the bus stop,so i was chauffer driven to the vets and then to the gym! have walked my baby boy (who decided to poo on my neighbours gravel drive, hope they werent in!), changed 20 pillow cases, 2 duvet covers, 1 throw, a massive sheet and had an online shop delivered...didnt she do well! , am shattered now but trying sooo hard not to go for sugar! Think it will be another early night once himself is back from the gym and fed!
RB, George dosent need a coat, poor thing is always panting from the exertion....and that hes very fat now! Theres nothing wrong with a good snivel from time to time, hope your OH dosent get too ill, my OHs dad is on anti bi's too, seems easier to say who isnt ill at the moment!
Matty, im so pleased to hear you are feeling a little better....onwards and upwards
Clari, did you give the workmen a hot drink? a very nice thing to do , im loving hearing your stories about reggie, think you might have to get a plastic peg bag tho
Wintersong, youve done loads again! You dont need the gym well done
Hosta, hope they get you sorted, private or not, just shows how streatched the services are, not good! Glad you got a little gardening done, always makes things better
Dove, glad to hear your feeling a little better, hopefully youve had the worst of it
Hope you had a nice day DD
Happy planting Verdun
BL, those meds are working quickly, you will be feeding the masses again before you know it!
Fidget, think we have your weather now, cheers! Its been lovely all day
Yvie, hope you arent too tired, hopefully you will have a better night tonight
Had a lovely walk round with SIL, saw lots of snowdrops and crocus. Sunny but quite chilly. Had a jacket potato and side salad...........and a err......umm.....piece of cake
Back home thank goodness. Only a few hairy moments. Couldn't wait to see my seedlings, sorry I must have meant sons. OH has held the fort so well and nothing has died (yet) but that will mean I'll probably kill with kindness.
Sorry to hear so many people are ill. Hope the meds kick in soon Lizzie
Matty I'm so pleased that you're feeling a bit better but please pace yourself. Keep away from most of the germs around here. I thought gardening was good for your health
Bekkie: I took them all piping hot coffee (proper coffee too: freshly ground beans!) It wasn't their fault some muppet broke the light but it was trying to snow and generally awful! Truth be told I was only out there for three minutes and was very grateful to be back inside (even though there was no heating on). Every time we get workers outside and the weather is bad (either too cold or too hot) I always try to nip out and offer them a drink (or even just chance to use the loo). After all I'd be grateful if someone did it for me!
Welcome to the start of.... I have no record of planting anything other than camomile in this pot (I've no idea what they are). I have a feeling that this wont be the first bulbs I discover I planted without writing down. So much for my attempts at being organised!
Like the idea of a hot sandy beach, I'm def up for that
Have had a busy day here, sadly not in the garden Trip to the DSS, visit to Ma and Pa's, jaunt to the dentist - filling and clean (ouch ), back to Ma and Pa's for a spot of comedy eating (thankfully soup) and then Pa came round to fix the oil in the lawnmower, (he put in the stuff for his diesel car ), via Halfords, B&Q (where some Christmas Box leapt into my hands ), and then back to Halfords, helped him (and ended up with petrol and oil on the floor of my shed ), and then assisted him with putting up my long awaited shelf/coat hooks (looks great btw) and then had to put away the excess of coats from the original one.
Am building up a list of things to do in the garden and one day I might surprise myself and get on with them
