Sorry to jump into this thread again but just had to ask as this is the busiest of it's kind.....do all roses have a name , we are complete novices and almost all of our seeds, bulbs et al we get from local markets and even on the roadside ...this little beauty is an example , no idea what it is called but beautiful nonetheless
Nice to see you Dacha and it's a lovely rose, I can only ID the ones I've got - so no help there. Someone on this thread may know but if you would start an ID thread many, many more people will see it. Fingers crossed
Liri - I'm sure you're feeling really down and worried about what lies ahead. We're all behind you and just know that you'll come through with flying colours. The colours will look so much better
Keeping on the eye theme - I'm the same as you Panda - lazy left but they caught me before I was 7 and put an eyepatch on my good eye. I nearly got run over twice (and that was before there were many cars on the road). It didn't work though.
Your lunch sounded lovely Wonky. Did Dove help in the garden or stand ticking thing off the list.
Is it really Fidget's party tomorrow. How time flies. Have a great weekend
No need to apologise I think they do, but identifying it may be a minefield There are sooooo many Often the best way is to create a new thread as not all the great plant identifiers are contributors to this thread
Yes that is a lovely rose - does it repeat flower?
Well finished one side of front and is now well watered. Have put annual rudbeckias to grow through the grasses already there - I now - a bit late but it's done
Tried to do other side but it is so like concrete couldn't break it up at all - I have clay and it is where the builders stood, weeds seem to grow through though so gave up and sprayed weed killer on. Perhaps it will rain and then i can loosen it all.
I have the hose sprinkler out now but feel like having a nap - perhaps i should stand under it
Hi Dacha, our Moscow family visiting and finding it so cold here!
re the rose, what co,our is the bud, does it open true to colour, what shape is the plant, does it flower all the time or have one flush followed by another her at the end if the season. All these points will help you identify the rose.
Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them.” A A Milne
It's fff freeezzzing LilyP. Dog wants a walk so padded jacket and thick socks are the order of the day. Hope you're having a good catch up with the family.
