I'm not having a funeral so there'll be no clapping and no singing. In fact I've told them all if they have a funeral for me...I'm not coming! I can't believe they called me a grumpy old git. Rude!

Dad is currently in  Mums front room with his train set. I threatened to put him in the pit in the garage, surrounded by his brick collection.

  • Must be a dad thing. They're all barking! Handy enough to have the pit all ready to go! Just to complete that circle, when my dad had the pit dug in his garage he stopped at the cemetry and asked the grave diggers to do it. This was in the days when it was men with a shovel. He was so impressed that he got them back to do the foundations for our extension!!!!image

My dad dug his out when he did the foundations. Then when he got too old for the ladder, he extended it and added steps. Dunno why, in later years he got my brother to go under the car instead. Still, the sand he dug out came in useful for laying the slabs at the top of my garden.

  • My dad would have taken great delight to see my brother under the car but not in the way you're talking about!! HeHe!
