Just had a quick skim-read back - lots of stuff going on for people - ((hugs)) to everyone 'cos I'm sure evweryone deserves them
I've been in the garden all day mowing, edging, weeding, pulling up forget-me-nots, deadheading, potting on, watering, moving pots, squidging lily beetles and sitting on the bench looking at things
Now I'm sitting with my feet up watching Cardiff Singer of the World
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Good luck with the driving lessons winter! I've had a few now and it comes naturally if you have them quite close together
Matty, the dog looks so happy already! Think you made a great choice but if I know anything about animals, they choose you! a welcome addition to the home!
Sounds like a long day Hosta! Hope you have a day off or two in the pipeline!
Have a great evening all, I'm having an early nite as I'm of to visit Dove tomorrow and she has a list! shes worth the garden labour exploitation though!
Evening all, Feeling sorry for myself as somehow I have caught a cold, don't know anyone that has one. It's been a lovely day here and I have spent the day in the garden trying to ignore my shivers, sore throat and sneezes. Cut back a load of pansies and fed them so that I will get another show (can't be bothered to deadhead them all individually). Deadheaded roses and generally tidied up the borders. Planted a new clematis that arrived from Raymond Evison (ok but not a patch on the plants I get from Taylors) and potted up some salvias 'Love and Wishes' again not great plants but hopefully they will survive, got them from Parkers.
Have a great time at Dove's Wonky.
Pooch looks like a winner Matty
Fairygirl, Ive taped Jorskiwatsit, the scandanavian series have been great lately. They do murder/thriller like we do constume drama.
Hostafan, put your feet up and chillax.
Tonight I will be mainly lying on the sofa watching TV and eating ice cream.
Fairygirl, I would like to watch Mr. B on Beechgrove - how did you know? But it always seems to be on at inconvenient times, especially as French times are an hour ahead. Like Sunday when I'm in church.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
On a positive note . . . . I am taking advantage of my unemployed status and getting my eyes tested for free tomorrow, and free new glasses (to an extent) if I need them
Fairy, new toy works like a dream Rose hedge looks a lot neater (it's a wild rose so flowering well and truly over!) Tomorrow Laylandii
DD, your garden is going to look amazing
Wonky, have fun at Dove's, make sure there is cake and coffee
Didn't see earlier, welcome back SGL! Glad you had a lovely time and are well rested!
Good point about the cake Fairy! Hadn't checked with Dove!.....

Dog comes with name of Susie but she will have 'our own' name whatever it is. Son suggested we wait till she is home, so we will.
Hard luck Panda - something that just suits you will come along - hope it's soon
Everyone seems to have been busy in gardens again.
