Hostafan I hope that the orthopedic chap doesn't have such a waiting list as the physio!

The boss is away, so I'm taking a fifteen minute breather to let me brain rest before I start the next challenge. Its not yet snowing outside: just that awful wet lumps of ice. I've already been out to give the four chaps repairing the street light (drunk driver + roundabout + no concept of speed limit on an already stupidly dangerous road = poor light go smush!) Mugs of coffee (freebies naturally). I don't envy them at all!

It's sunny and warm here. Just back from trip to DIY centre where 3 Juniperus Blue Star fell into my trollyimage

but I needed to buy some fabric and a big staple gun to protect the wood in the raised bed. Can't back fill it until the fabric is on, so what am I doing in doors?

  • Rb - commiserations to your OH - I must say that I'm feeling much better in myself at the moment - able to do stuff (indoors, not going outside - the wind's like a knife).  I've made a cottage pie and cleaned up the kitchen.  I'll make the pud when I've had a bit of lunch ...

Back in doors now. It's been a really lovely day, that hint of spring in the air: warm, sunny, noisy birdsimage

So, I didn't manage everything on my list, just the middle section really.

Re-did the long raised bed in my passageway where we shall erect some nice trellis and create a very sheltered area between middle and bottom gardens. Before today, it was a dumping area with terrible soil and piles of stuff on top such as large branches, old trellis and empty garden bags.

All that's been cleared ready for the skip, plus I dug out all the buried lumps of concrete that we purposefully hid last year because my garden is just one massive pile of builder's rubbish from when they built the houseimage and whenever I dig a new hole, more concrete comes out of it. Oh and bricks and rusty metal and wiring and a whole role of some thick rubber flooring stuff that we had to cut through by hand, layer by layer, to put the new arch in.image

Anyhow, happy with it now, especially all the lovely fat  juicy worms I unearthed today and I thought that soil was pooimage

I'm image now so the fence work can wait until another day but that's okay, I got planting to planimage

    Hello All

Beginning to feel like me AND have spent half hour in garden. I planned what I was going to do and did it in the time - gave some carex a hair cut, pruned 2 more roses (18 to go now) pulled down a clematis which has lots of new sprouts coming from the base

Sorry so many of you are poorly, just keep germs to yourselves please, and get well soon

Luvverly doogy, he looks very cuddlyimage well done George image

  • Matty - that's such lovely news to hear image  Now put your feet up with me and have a cuppa image

    Lots of washing being done.

RunnyB - I've been on them for almost a week now and taking vitamin C for a month. Here's hoping they kick in soon!

Wintersong I hope you don't ache too much!

Glad to hear Matty. As Dove said - feet up! I'm sure I've some biscuits around here somewhere.

Came home to find my bay tree rolling down the drive image waiting for darling partner to get home to distract Reggie while I pot it back up.
