Hello folks, Dove's been watering (with a lot of help from the under gardener ) 30+ pots of tomatoes, plus cukes also in pots, and the raised beds needed a good soaking, as did the front border - the poor fig tree was thirsty and it's leaves started to go yellow - not surprised 34C in the front garden
Sorry some people have had carp days - but TGIF Have a little alcofrolic something or other with me and help Panda celebrate - HER HOLIBOBS START HERE!!!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Fairy it was me who polished vegetables when I was a nipper. Always been so house proud NOT ! My Dad grew veg to show like Woody and I can remember polishing something with milk and I thought onions, crickey I was at infant school. I thought Woody might know.
He also grow and showed roses and I do know how to remove and tweak petals At one point he had hundreds and a lot he grafted onto root stock. Today would have been his 87th B/d.
KEF, that sounds so much nicer than gutting pike and plucking (careful) pheseants! Nowonder im a veggie now! Every so often my pet rabbit would have been let go while i was at school, strangely, we always had stew on those days! No so bright was i????
Supper has been eaten out on the terrace - the under gardener is washing up, the hedgehog food dishes have been filled and food has been scattered for noisy young blackbirds and dunnocks. It reached 34C in the shade out in the front garden
Anyone heard from Punkdoc lately?
