    Hello all,

Yesterday was a busy day volunteering picking up litter around the park for Sholing valley Study Centre and after lunch went to the station to do some turf laying

As when we were buying turf the other day from Hillier's we noticed turf in the skip obviously left from last delivery and not so good to sell - as we asked we were allowed two rolls as they were for a charity garden rather yellow grass but still good for station - even though one person not so keen on us having it even though they are just getting rid of it

Silly how people cut their noses to spite their faces GardenGirl. I've seen no end of things thrown away rather than be donated "just because".

Sat at work having just finished the day shift. Now waiting for the night shift to start - lots of zombies wandering around and screaming girls. I'm trying to not eat my dinner until at least 17:30 so I wont get hungry (coffee shop has a large supply of chocolate which is not good!!) later on.

My attempts as resisting are proving not so great at the moment. Just look at what I'm spending on garden centres!

  • Pitch black already, very chilly outside.

Had a few hours gathering leaves from borders at M's did wonder why the lawns were clear image Leaf composter thing now full. Removed broken branches and reverting branches from shrubs. Green council re-cyling bin also full of non compostable stuffs.

Been home quite a while but done as much as I physically could so just been deheading plants at home and looking for my party outfit for Friday at the cabinimage

Have a good evening all, think I've earned a glass of vino so see you all tomorrow.

Step son now decided he's living here not at his mums, which is fine but seem to be becoming a taxi service... foot down and rules drawn up pretty sharpish I think!

How Cute is he SGL.  I'm back from birthday shopping.  Secondborn has beautiful new leather satchel and is very chuffed.  I had a lovely slice of Coffee and Walnut Cake and I am also chuffed.  We're having chicken and mushroom curry (made from scratch by hubby) at around 7.00 so I need to work up an appetite to do it justice.

Second lot of Allium bulbs arrived this morning (ordered at Gardeners World Show at NEC) weather permitting I might try and get them in the ground tomorrow question is should I put the tulips in at the same time or wait a couple of weeks.  I think it will depend upon energy levels.

I still have to empty some of my summer pots.  The begonias and fuschias were so lovely that I havent had the heart to empty them yet.
