Yes Bekkie, be careful, on holiday I booked a massage with a lady who originally came from Coventry but had now moved and lived in Turkey.  She had a suprise baby at 50.  I bet that was some birthday present.

Sounds like everyone is OK today, weather here is dull and cloudy.  Taking secondborn out today to buy her birthday present.  She was keen on going into Birmingham (Yuk) but I managed to persuade her that a trip to Ironbridge would be much better.  She had her eye on a brown leather satchel we saw there a while ago.   It will cost me a bit more than planned but it's worth it not to have to go into town at half term, I really don't appreciate queuing up to get on an escalator.

Just started to dig up my Cannas, in some ways I find it rather sad that another season is coming to an end, but it is also nice to start planning for next year, and how the garden will be the "best ever."

Also starting to clear summer bedding from the pots, ready for tulips.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

OH has deconstructed my big pot of Black Eyed Susan and replaced it with the pot I planted with the yellow phormium and heucheras and orange violas - it looks really good on the terracotta tiles of the front porch.

Now I've got another big empty container ............... image
