Had a good day digging on the allotment and nearly all the 'winter' digging is done - just one more session. I have a friend coming round this evening for a natter and a cuppa so hope sitting in the chair for a long time doesn't seize up my bones so I can't move to put the kettle on. Soil just beginning to get to that sticky stuck on the fork stage (heavy clay) so will soon have to shut down the allotment till the spring other than a bonfire.
Feeling a bit stiff myself, been digging all day, only went out to do a little tidy up and then got carried away, a little bit of bed that has always been 'okayish' suddenly looked desperate.
Very pleased with result (she say modestly), even managed to sneak out and buy a lovely Skimmia to put between existing two Pieris and a Daphne (having dug up a big tatty clump of ornamental grass).
Just got to pop in a few daffs and put some mulch over tomorrow, it was almost dark by the time I finished digging so OH dragged me in (more worried about his dinner than me I think).
Glad to hear Hefty is back, must have been kicked out of SCD in the dance off.
Off to my bed now, exhausted and have the driveway border to sort out tomorrow, not wide but very long.
Good night all.

I've had a very lazy day today and you're all making me feel guilty with all the hard work being done on your gardens Son's not well as his cellulitis has returned with a vengence so I've kept him company sitting on the sofa watching catchup tv. It's a hard job but someone has to do it
Lily the hedgehog pic made me laugh. He looked so sweet. Glad Hefty is back Dove.
I've missed something somewhere. When did the party turn into a rave? That LilyP is a bad influence

Glad he found his way back Dove. All that dancing probably made him quite hungry.
He's very light on his feet
