Morning all, had an awful nights sleep, woke up about 2 30, and coudn't get back to sleep, so got up and then went back at 5. Will probably nod off this afternoon!!
Glad birthday boy had a lovely time.
Panda hope you have a good day.
Lovely raspberries Dove. Lovely pics too.
Hi Kef missed you yesterday.
Hope pdocs ok and had a great time.
Hope everybody has a good day what everyou are doing.
OL - We've an ornamental cherry tree in the garden that is currently home to a huge amount of blackbirds feasting - its wonderful to watch but their having to "lighten the load" before they take off is causing quite the mess on the greenhouse roof.
Wonderful to watch though there will still be plenty of fruit for us as the definitely a pear tree" is most certainly producing a good crop of plums!
I'll be building a fruit cage when the vegetable plot is done (I'm already collecting cheap bushes ready to go in!) As we have a huge amount of birds visit us I can see them harvesting everything the moment it appears. I'm going to put some more fruit bushes around the outside of chicken run to "sacrifice" (and hopefully put off the neighbours cat from spending too much time chicken watching as well as providing a bit of shade).
Something that only you'll appreciate - after almost running over the hedgehog on the drive on Thursday night we have discovered that he has taken to protesting by emptying himself all over the lawn - hedge poo everywhere! Its strangely exciting to find and now I'm in search of a nice hedgehog house to put by the compost bins as that area isn't disturbed much.
Thanks for the welcome yesterday. As for madness i am quite mad myself so its all good (you have to be a be a bit crazy with 2year old twins)!! I have just been admiring my newly sown front lawn that is starting to shoot up, all the hard work there was worth it.Now to start sorting the back!!

2 year old twins Alison
. Bet you're glad to have the garden to keep you occupied

Punkdoc
Have a good sleep - hope your Mum is feeling better. Tell us all about it when you can.
Hope you have a good sleep too lily
OL a fruit cage and a cold frame are necessities not Christmas presents

Lucky you Clari - having a hedgehog
Don't think I could afford to grow fruit. The bird food costs enough without giving then a banquet
Bekkie - how about raspberry pavlova
