No, @Dovefromabove, I was alone, but was fairly horrified at the increase in prices since last year. No doubt I will succumb on my next visit.

Fuel and heating costs affect everything … and it becomes cumulative until it gets to the end user šŸ™„Ā

It's shocking how much our fuel bills have risen @Dovefromabove!Ā  What with those, council tax and broadband/mobile phone bills, our disposable income has shrunk considerably.Ā  Sometimes it feels as if I have given the keys to my bank account to all these companies and said: here you are - help yourself.

Not helped by the fact that we have just had to splash out on a new dishwasher.Ā  That arrived yesterday and was fitted today - by a local chap who charged half of what Curry's wanted to charge.Ā Ā

But it had to be done.Ā  We could have got a replacement part but that itself was pretty pricey so we just went for a replacement.Ā Ā

One of our smaller funding applications has been approved!Ā

Hi Dove. Al di Meola was fantastic, I have to confess that some of it was a bit sophisticated for folky me but the rhythm pieces that they played got the audience on their feet: not common here, concerts can be quite dull as the public behaves in the same way whether is a string quartet or a metal band🤣.
I didn't know he had a heart attack on stage back in September, all seems well with him he also seems a very nice guy. This is his trioĀ

Morning all, just gone midnight here in the UK, went to bed ages ago but got up as I can’t sleep.
I love the way you all chat with each other…I feel a little on the outside as you all seem to know each other even if it’s just through the ether.
Could one of you let me know how to include you name in a post eg @xxxxx I know how to quote a previous post but not just a posters name.Ā
Hope you don’t mind me joining in.Ā
  • @Bilje everybody is welcome here. To quote a person's name press 'caps' and start writing the name. A list will appear which you click on, then continue typing as usual.

@Mrs-B3-Southampton,-Hants. Ā Thanks for that. It’s black when I write but other folks writing of @xxx comes up pink. It’s all a learning curve isn’t it. Ā My eyes are drooping Ā I’m off to bed round 2, wish me luck.Ā
Ha I posted it and it came up pink…magic.

Good morning all 😊 ā˜•ļø and how
    lovely to see you here @Bilje 😃 I hope you got/are getting a good night’s sleep.Ā

Some of us have actually met each other, and there are others who we feel as if we’ve Ā met, although we haven’t, but we are ā€˜friends’ … Ā and one thing is certain … we’d never have got to know each other had it not been for this forum. So please feel welcome to join in and chat about ā€˜stuff’. Ā As @ā€œMrs-B3-Southampton,-Hants" says, everyone is welcome here 😊

I’ve slept like a log … the first time Ā I’ve slept this well since the accident and the start of this horrid cold. It is nearly over now thank goodness … still a bit congested and with a rattly cough … but it is getting better rather than worse now šŸ‘Ā

It’s 5C out there and a bit cloudy, but the weather app says there’ll be come sunshine today ā˜€ļøĀ
